Romanov against who?

Post by Old bones Ian »

Yuri Romanov retained his Euro lightweight title this week , with a narrow points win overStefano Zoff , he then stated that he was going to defend the title next in England, who will this be against?

Can't see Warren offering Khan , So will it be Thaxton?

There are eight Brits in the top thirteen of the EBU rankings!

Thaxton might be waiting around for Khan (if the latter beats Earl) as F rank Warren has been quoted as saying they would like to meet Jon in Feb.

John Murray?

Romanov at 100% wud stop both Jono and Meager IMO. Id like him to avenge the Earl defeat at some point as well.

Really Romanov should be looking for that breakthrough fight into world class, he looks to have all the skills going , and a decent dig. But his career seems to be going a bit slowly to me.

Earl showed his class that night he beat Romanov. But a rematch would good.

Romanov at 100% beats all of em. Warren only risked Earl cuz Yuri had been kept on the sidelines so long without training.
As for Earl showing class that night Romanov said on Belarus tv after winning Euro title that he was only 50% against Earl after being kept out for so long,He beats Graham easy in a rematch.

It was Maloney who risked Earl against Yuri.

Although Romanov hadn't fought for a while , it was still a very good win for Earl, i don't think anyone picked him to win.

Sorry yes it was, Yuri still hadn,t fought for 15 months and only 5 times in the 3 years since destroying Vancie.
Wasn,t Warren promoting him during this period?

very fast and stylish fighter. great fight.

Yuri should beat up a couple more Brits and then fight WBA top contender Prawet Singwangcha so he can gun for Juan Diaz.
