To snooze or not to snooze?
To snooze or not to snooze?
Which bout(s) do you reckon you'll miss?
EG: Whenever I get up early to watch the test-match - I am always thinking "I hope I get to see Flintoff bat before:
A: I have to go to work.
B: My wife gets up and begins to issue instructions.
C: The cat wants feeding.
In actuality, I usually wake up about two hours later to see the umpire raise his finger and Flintoff trudging off.
If you had to miss one fight (and you will :x ) which one will it be?

Is there any truth in the rumour that Ottke has changed sponsors from "Condomi" to "Nytol"?MightyWarrior wrote:Don't worry Lugh, tune into Ottke at midnight and you'll be fast asleep by 12.10.
If you need a nap later on, John Ruiz is always worth a miss.
"The Phantom" indeed - he doesn't even wear a purple catsuit (at least not on fight nights)

A fight fan who follows cricket – whatever next…..
I personally am going to get wired on Red Bull and vodka and hope to be awake throughout proceedings, though I cannot guarantee that all fights will get my undivided attention.
I always record these marathon shows for review the next day, with a sore head and a severe case of the ‘never-agains’.

If I had to miss one of these fights it would be the heavyweight clash. I think it could be a good fight, a decent blend of styles, but both have let us down in the past. Ruiz might attempt a lot of grabbing if he can't handle the strength of Rahman.
BTW has anyone seen anything regarding Rahmans' weight for this? I keep forgetting he came in at something like 2 tonnes last time. He looked awful but still fought pretty well, for 6 rounds anyway.
Interestingly (or not as the case may be!) I feel that the reason I am attracted (whoa there) to both boxing and cricket is (I think) the purity of the contest.TerribleTerry wrote:A fight fan who follows cricket – whatever next…..

Essentially both are 1-1 sports (Pugilitht V Pugilitht ((Damn Eubanks - I can't even type that any more without taking the pith!!)) and Batter V Bowler) that offer a blend of mental and physical challenge and both relying heavily on individual courage.
I too was toying with the Red Bull route - but I'll stick to the Curry, Cobra beer and Copious joints!

HH
That's a bit heavy isn't it?
I always start every fight (that I think may go distance) scoring the rounds mentally (as in "in my head" - not 10-3 to Hatton) and usually by about the 5 th I've completely given up.
The only fight I have ever actually written down my own scores for was Lennox-Holyfilanderer II - and I was miles out anyway.
