Jacko now fights Ryan Rhodes in a six-rounder

Peter Jackson (who regularly posts here) and Ryan Rhodes meet in a six-rounder this Thursday on the Hennessy bill at the York Hall. The two were scheduled to meet over 10 rounds at Derby last month for the English middleweight title, but Peter came down with a virus. He's recovered sufficiently, but feels a 10-rounder is too much for him after the illness and apparently Rhodes is looking at bigger things than the English title anyway.

Its a shame, I hope Jacko has recovered sufficiently - from experience I know the flu is a bastard to shift and your not right for weeks after (I actually went into one contest hoping the doctor would pull me out prior to the show - I felt like shit but didn't want to leave my trainer down).

Its a good move by him making a 6 rounder, I don't think Ryan is above English title at this stage.
