Be afraid, be very very afraid

Post by bennie »

A world championship boxing belt has been stolen from a Teignmouth shop. A young thief brazenly grabbed the IBC belt from the display window of Aquarius in Waterloo Street on Monday afternoon, and ran off with it. It is valued at about £1,000, but the store owner, who did not want to be named, says it is only of value to a collector of boxing memorabilia, and has appealed for anybody spotting it to contact the police or the shop.
She added: "We have had it in the window for about a year, and it creates a lot of interest and is a good talking point for customers interested in boxing."
The thief is described as 17 to 18 years old, about five feet six inches tall, wearing a white baseball cap, a three-quarter length jacket and dark trousers.

An IBC belt!! There's a madman on the loose in Teignmouth.

Its worse than stealing pens out a betting shop.

At least the pens come in handy.

I know it's relatively easy to get your hands on a world title belt these days but that's just ridiculous!

If anyone thinks an IBC belt is worth a grand they are seriously deranged.

Wonder who it belonged to (who valued it so highly he sold it), where is Teignmouth?

Well he's now an IBC belt holder, he'll probably turn up on the next SN bill defending his title.

Seriously, does anyone know their true value ?
I have a WBF belt, and assumed it was worthless.

What poor title did Michael Carruth hold! Was it the IBC belt? OR WBB something I've never heard off.

I'm no boxer, just a run of the mill fan, who happens to have a few mates who have done well in this game.
AT 46 Bennie, I hope I'm not fighting !!
The wbf belt was given to me as a piece of memorabilia hence the question.

I am not Ryan Rhodes.
On Eastside I posted as Beagleboys.
Cocked up when registering or would have kept same sign on.
I've followed Ingle fighters for 26 years.
Ryan is one of my best mate's sons.
I simply know a lot of the Sheffield fighters, both past and present.
