Anthony Farnell
Anthony Farnell
Anybody know any details on Farnell's opponent on Saturday, will he be fighting a Light Middle. That devision is bloody conjested now, but Farnell could see himself ranked very high.
Re: Anthony Farnell
Oh no... not a Farnell thread.

Depends what mood Tomas is in, how the fight goes

It's always the way with Farnell, "it depends what mood his opponents in" really sums Farnell up doesn't it? In other words i agree, he has little to bring to the table other than a big heart and plenty of huff and puff. If his opponent is dire or unprepared then Farnell will overwork him to a points win or stoppage but if his opponent has decent Boxing ability and sticks to a gameplan then he wins! Farnell has always been a sucker for the jab and struggles with anyone who can box a bit, is this Da Silva any good?
Steve = Da Silva's record for you.

I take it Farnell will still be a Middle then, making things confusing up there.

Well, thats what I heard after his Elcock loss. I think its a good move for him overall - especially now the devision is wide open.steve689 wrote:Cheers for the record Stu, i would imagine Farnell might huff and puff his way to a points win by the looks of it or maybe a stoppage. Da Silva has been in with some decent opposition but has mostly lost, is Farnell moving back down to Light Middleweight then eventually?

Anthony has had to endure the worst scenario any boxer faces - a failed medical.
It was touch and go if he would ever be allowed to box again, but he now has the go ahead.
He is definitely heading for light middle.
I have to say he's not my cup of tea, but you cannot get away from the fact he sells shed loads of tickets, which as an undercard fighter is great for Messiah Warren.
That's why Warren stays faithful, no other reason.
Good luck to the kid.
I hope his medical problems are behind him.

Tomas is very awkward, very durable and has a decent dig.... however he can be extremely lazy. which is why i say it depends which tomas turns up.steve689 wrote:Depends what mood Tomas is in, how the fight goes

atleast half his losses he should have won, but was in the opponents backyard. The stoppage to Bendell was pure comedy. Tomas was actually on the attack when the ref stopped it...
The fight is made at 11 3 I think...
