So who will Danny Williams be fighting?
So who will Danny Williams be fighting?
Let's play guess the opponent for Danny Williams (and I promise you, I have no idea who he will be fighting). The winner gets to meet Danny's best mate Spencer Fearon at the Elephant & Castle Leisure Centre in February. Spencer will answer - by proxy - any questions pertaining to Danny.
This is quite an interesting one in fact. We know Danny's back with Warren, who has just confirmed Dean Powell as his new matchmaker (after the sad death of the great Ernie Fossey). Powell will be crapping himself that he doesn't get Danny knocked off, so we can assume he's currently scouring eastern Europe for an opponent and having long chats with Mr. Fondu. That's my take on it anyway. I wonder if Ratko Draskovic will be brought in on Saturday!

I've heard that they are trying to get Osborne Mashimane, from South Africa.
Cant be true can it.
Mashimane is a terrific boxer, and a big puncher. He had Potter in all kinds of trouble at the York Hall last year in one of the best samll hall fights I have ever seen.
If Mashimane was treated like a prospect, looked after and kept in shape he could reach world class.
In shape, he could beat Williams

Whoever fights Danny on Saturday,
I just hope He knocks Danny out and exposes Danny for being the lazy boxer he is!
I'd honestly say any boxer has a chance of beating Danny on the night!

I wonder if hes up for another crack at Sinan Samil Sam?
With Sam having been beaten recently also, perhaps a rematch is in order?
I just cannot seem to get up for supporting Williams though. His last "attempt" to win the european title was laughable, and I felt he was exposed as a bit of a bum quite frankly. I know others disagree and feel hes still got something to offer, but the future lies with Audley I think...

If Audley is the future, the sport is in worse shape than everLoftgroov wrote:I wonder if hes up for another crack at Sinan Samil Sam?

if danny really did have shingles when he fought sam and if u've had shingles know will know that u feel like crap and wherever they are they burn like a bitch then that defeat probably did not do danny justice. this may just sound like an excuse but theseare legitimate factors u have to take into account he has the power to hurt sam so provided he comes in at about 17st i would give him a goodchance of beating sinan.
Danny's shingles excuse is just that, i'm sorry to be frank but it's plain bullshit to me. My old man had shingles and he was ill for weeks, not fit to do his mechanic job let alone getting punched in the head for 12 rounds! Lol no one fights with shingles unless they are madder than Ricardo Mayorga
Williams heart is out of Boxing, his bottle has gone after the Sam loss, changing trainers and promoters then doing u-turns etc He is likely to fight someone like Dave Clarke if he does fight IMO He showed he has little left against Keith Long and then against Michael Sprott who was winning before Danny found his power.
