Yeah, im sure we are all gonna be talking about what a great oppurtunity it is for SFJ but, but in no way has he earned his shot..this is ridiculous...at least McCullough has his name and Duddy(which isnt definate aparently) brings moneyto the table!!!

I felt a bit worried for Arthur when Warren was talking about all the feathers, super feathers and lightweights in his stable fighting each other. Complete waste of time for Arthur, he really doesn't need to be wasting his prime with fights like this.

If AAA has genuine world title ambitions, he's wasting his time with the route he's going. If, like many of us, he doubts his ability at the top level, then I suppose he's doing just fine. I just wish he'd not refer to himself as "world champion".

Sounds perfectly happy to be defending his Interim title against former "world champion" Stephen Foster. It seems I overestimated his ambition.

I feel Arthur will have more than enough to deal with Foster. No disrespect, but I don't think Foster jnr is on the same level as Arthur.

Anything less than a win, & a win by impressive fashion will be disappointing for Alex in my opinion.

It seems like too much caution has been taken with Alex. Aethur is now in his prime or very near it. It's time to see how good he really is! All the talk of him possibly being matched against Barrera, Guzman etc, & now he's fighting Foster jnr?

It's turned into the usual SN crap.

Constant name dropping in the hope the British fans think their guy is in the same league as Barerra, Guzman, Pacman etc....so while these lot are boxing the best around, SN guys are defending against the Fosters, Samual Kebede's, Will McIntyres and Bobby Gunn's of the boxing world

Surely no self-resepcting boxing fan buys into this rubbish?

poor match up for AA - i agree with lenny; perhaps i overestimated his ambitions too. disappointing. but he might come away from a fight without his face looking like he's been in with pacman for once.

This is such a shame, AA ia a great advert for British boxing, young, very articulate, doesn't drink or smoke, swear, not marked up etc. Brilliant for boxing but saying Foster Jnr is an ex world champ is clutching at threads somewhat - I suppose he can only fight who Frank tells him too and he's got to sell tickets so hence the talking up of Foster Jnr.

Perhaps Frank is doing what he did with Ricky's career and deliver a world title shot at excatly the right time for AA. It would be superb to have another British World Champion.

Even though it is a poor match up, I'll still be going as I've never seen AA fight live. Has anyone else been to Meadowbank to see boxing before? Been to the swimming pool only!!! Is is generally a good view all round?

It might just be a pragmatic short-term decision given the lack of other available options at the moment. The other titlists are all tied up with other fights, and many of the international contenders may be deemed to represent an unnecessary risk at this stage of AA's career, given how tough most of his recent fights have been. In the end they've settled on a solid fight with a decent amount of domestic interest. I don't give Foster much of a chance, personally, but it should still be an entertaining scrap.

Warren really does have to get Arthur a big fight next year though.

Maybe its a time passing fight to keep him sharp before he fights either the Soto-Guzman winner or a fightfor the vacant belt. It would be foolish to fight a hard fight before his big fight.

yeah, great for boxing. wouldn't try for a Gomez rematch despite getting KO'd in a great fight, openly calls out the weakest champions and insults a legend from the past who suggested he get a trainer that he will stay with and fight in a division higher.
