Krasniqi vs. (a peak) Mildenberger

Post by Friedie »

Both fought for the Heavyweight title once.

This question came up in a German sports-forum. Some really believed that Krasniqi wins easily by K.o. because "Mildenberger was too slow".

I go with Mildenberger here. An easy win for the former European Champion.

Some said boxing evolved generally in speed and athletic since the 60ties and some others pointed out Krasniqis weight-advantage
;)

....I know, it's ridicoulus (when you only see how George Foreman became Champ in 1994, 20 years after he lost the title, and you have to prefer the '73 Foreman against the '94 Foreman IMO).

the poll result was:

Who is Mildenberger ? 0%
Krasniqi wins by K.o.: 5%
Krasniqi wins on points: 32%
Draw: 11%
Mildenberger on points: 11%
Mildenberger by K.o.: 42%

Another of my arguments was, what a '66 Ali would have done to Krasniqi....

Which would explain Luan's struggle with 21st century poster boy of modern day athleticism Brian Minto.

Probably Krasniqi would have a chance against Mildenberger when they fight nowadays (but beware Luan, Karl is in good form, holding his weight at 90 kilos .....despite his age of 70).
