Hatton Mayweather tickets - advice

Im considering selling a Kidney, my right testicle and all my worldly possesions to buy a couple of tickets for the actual fight (already have flights / hotel booked). Anyone have any advice on from where I should make the purchase, do you think these companies that have package deals will need to get rid at some point if they dont sell out, touts in vegas, worth a punt?

Any advice would be gratefuly received as I dont really want to be losing money, bad enough paying extorsionat prices wihtout losing the money too.

virgin quoting 1,700 for 4 nights at the mgm including flights ticket etc.

dont thinkl you will get better than that at this stage

There will be lots of touts flogging tickets in the MGM Grand, we went to the bar and asked around and they more or less come and find you. Got there on the Thursday and the prices were huge, closer to fight night and on the day of the fight the prices plummetted. Our mate got a $1000 ticket for $1250 so he was well chuffed. On the Thursday he was quotes $4000.

I was well pissed off, I was offered $9000 for my pair of $750 tickets on the Thursday, could have got ringside for that on fight night!

Alternatively ask Jon at Cityboxer as last time he had some ringside going spare if you can afford that much!

I'm so jealous you're going, I was all set till RBS decided to make me redundant!

At Mayweather v DLH, the demand was the same (if not higher because it was Kentucky Derby day) and there were touts EVERYWHERE in the MGM Grand reception. Provided you're happy to pay silly money you'll be fine. However the best deals seem to be on the day of the fight, so try and hold off as much as you can.

Whatever you do, DON"T go to the ticket shop on the strip that specialises in getting any tickets you want as they charge waaay over the odds.

Very jealous mate. You'll have a whale of a time. I have the money to go but Dirk is being a big girl and can't afford it.

I bought 9 1000 dollar tickets from sporting global events, but gave two back as two mates pulled them. phone them see what they got mate.

A mate of mine has a nephew on the actual card (McEwan so he says) and he reckons Craig couldnt even get a ticket for his wife.... make of that what you will

Alright mate yeah Craig Mcewan is on the undercard he is a class act, should go far, we boxed at same amature club. as far as i know craigs girlfriend and her brother are both going to fight. tickets still available throught sporting global and on ebay ect

sorry about that mate, wish i had just kept my other two tickets and gave them to someone rather than giving them back,

they charged me only 50-00 on top of the value of the ticket but i did buy the package all in was 1650 and thats with a 1000 dollar ticket , saying that i booked months ago even before tickets were out.

Just gotta keep chipping away, something will turn up, if not nevermind.

The company I booked my flights and hotel with said they expected everyone who booked with them to get a ticket although they couldnt guarantee. Didnt envisage the situation to be as bad as its turned out to be, so went along with it. Now its a scramble to try and get something. I dont really want upper level either, as I'd like to be able to actualy see the fight!! Plus im going with my dad who lost an eye in an industrial accident some 6 years ago, his vision is fine, but naturally not as good as having 2 eyes - so closer the better. lower level, maybe?

For such a big fight once-in-a-lifetime stuff you naturally want the very best seats you can get hold of but I wouldnt completely rule out the upper tier of its all you cant get hold of: the view from all levels wihin the MGM is pretty good in my experience.

For comparison I would say the view from the MGM upper tier is a good bit better then the MEN view, for example..

Its not really that big of a venue!

If you're on facebook, take a look at my Vegas pictures, we were in the upper tier for the weigh in and the view was excellent. As Terry says its not that big a venue and I had an excellent view. Not so sure what the view is like in the cheap $350 tickets but mine was excellent, no quibles.

It was the MEN I was thinking of as an example. Last thing I'd want to do is spend £x on seats then end up watching it on the screen above the ring. I'd rather spend more and get closer or not spend at all. Cheers though. I'll have a look on facebook now.

At the moment I can get hold of lower tier or ringside tickets but the prices are unkind. Now the touts know that thousands of fans will be arriving with no tickets they're twising the knife.

The lower tier tickets i can get are about £2000 and ringside £3000+. If you're desperate though let me know.

Its the lowers I was looking at mate, but £2000 is a bit too steep for me to be honest, thats $4000 isnt it. Appreciate the touts know the crack, and Im preparing myself to not be going to the fight itself if im honest. Just hoping something will turn up.

Pisses me off that so many companies have them for sale in abundance at silly prices. they're more overpriced than if fight fans would have got them and they were being sold on e-bay.

This seems to be norm for mega-fights. The prices were about the same for DLH v Mayweather. We paid 750 for upper tier.
