I've just noticed that Samson Dutch Boy Gym defended the WBF super flyweight title on 38 occasions. Does anyone know of anybody who's defended a title (any title) more times than this?

Yeah, but the same title e.g 40 defences of the Irish Super Feather Title as opposed to 20 of the WBC middleweight & 20 of the WBC super middleweight.
