must have been a good atmosphere. was there about 10,000 in the arena?
I think Bute should have an easy 1st defense, then maybe pick on a Miranda/Lacy/Mack level tough slugger, before going for the mandatory.
I hope InterBox have a lot of clout as Bute could end up in Germany vs a toughie like Inkin or Brahmer...
Lucien Bute V Alejandro Berrio
Not a big fan of Froch but to be honest I think he has the tools to beat Bute. Carl has a fantastic chin also so I'd be shocked should Bute score even a knockdown let alone KO. After Froch smokes Reid's boots, we need to see him in with someone like Inkin or Andrade. C'mon Hennessy, get a move on.Red Medicine wrote:Froch is garbage. He's nothing more than a Lacy-type fighter who happens to have a lot of cute-looking KOs versus subpar opposition. The fact that Brian Magee was even or beating him on the cards prior to the KO says everything you need to know about his boxing skills. Bute KOs him inside of 8 rounds if they meet.
Good point, i think it's only a matter of time before Bute has to travel to Germany, unless his promoters can shell out the big bucks. I expected Sauerland would have had his claws on Berrio after he upset Stieglitz? I also would have expected a Berrio-Haussler matchup or even Mads Larsen, so was surprised when i saw Berrio had gone over to Canada to defend. I am not up on the workings of alphabelts but i suppose the IBF jumped in first and sanctioned a mandatory against Bute.Autobarn wrote:I hope InterBox have a lot of clout as Bute could end up in Germany vs a toughie like Inkin or Brahmer...
We were 13400 live at the fight, the atmosphere was awersome. For germany, Bute's trainer and director of the operation at interbox told the media that they have learn from past mistake (lucas in germany) and they'll do everything possible to keep Bute at home (canada or states). With this show and the next one in montreal, I'm pretty sure they will make a nice profit and part of this profit will be use to stay at home or away from germany :pAutobarn wrote:must have been a good atmosphere. was there about 10,000 in the arena?

There was a Berrio-Haussler fight in the making but Berrio and Sauerland fought over money or something and it didn't happen. I don't even know if Berrio is still with Sauerland or not.steve689 wrote:Good point, i think it's only a matter of time before Bute has to travel to Germany, unless his promoters can shell out the big bucks.
