Should be a decent bout and I wouldnt expect Jamie to have any problems with Facey - He has beaten him before and he should this time but Facey has had some recent success - Hopefully Jamie will get a Euro shot next year.

Maybe, although his opponent isnt up to much and I'd imagine, like nuumbembe, Sky want to see him fighting british guys.

I'm a huge fan of Jamie, and I've a lot of respect for Facey too.

But this really, really, really has to be Jamie's last domestic assignment, doesn't it?

This then Euro then it's got to be world eliminator or title shot.

When you look at someone like Duddy getting a shot because he's Oirish and popular it makes me sick - but I guess that's business.

Jamie is well deserving of a shot, I'd give him a chance against Forrest. But it's Facey then hopefully that Euro title first...

I too fail to see the point in fighting a guy again who, by varios accounts was down on several occasions and quite badly beaten the first time.

One - how can that be healthy/safe for Facey?

Two - in what way does it advance Moore's career?

I think it's a 'making time' fight to keep him sharp for his Euro challenge.

Been a tough year for him with injuries and I know he's frustrated. It's been more to do with that than matchmaking. He was due to fight Vuma but pulled out with a virus.

This one as a sharpener, then a Euro title.

Didn't Jamie post on here a while back saying he took the fight as he still has mouths to feed and a mortage to pay?

He's probably never earned big bucks so he needs these fights to tick over and tune up till the Euro or World shots open up and to earn some cash.

Facey took the first fight on 2 weeks notice having just beaten Macklin over 10 rounds. He was hardly at his best for the first fight with Moore. If he loses this time he has no excuse.

Is that right? That's utterly ridiculous. How can SKY be happy enough with a Facey rematch but not a Vuma fight?! The Vuma scrap would have been a solid next step for Moore IMO as he waits for the grossly overdue shot at a major title.

It's criminal the way Jamie's career has been left to stagnate of late, i know he was injured but the guy deserves his pop at the Euro title at the very least. He has always brought excitement and grit to the table with no little skill and far less deserving people are getting multiple shots (e.g. Robert Guerrero) at titles all over the place.

With his style i don't think Jamie Moore will have an awful lot of longevity so they need to get him into the big fights while he still has breath in him! His two fights with Jones and the Macklin clash should have at least earned him a European tilt by now.

Facey did a number on prospect Gary Woolcombe for the English title.

He's a valid challenger.

I'd rather see Moore boxing for the EBU title, but in the meantime this will have to do.

Vuma-Thompson was the best fight involving a Brit and an import this year, behind Katsidis-Earl.

This is quite crazy. Moore v Vuma had definite world title AND fight of the year implications. Because Vuma beat Thompson in some kind of WBC elim for an elim (or something) and won a superb fight.

How many WBC elims were there? Forrest v Baldo was one until upgraded to being for the title outright. Martinez v Duran was another WBC 154-lb elim. Vuma v Thompson was listed as something similar...

Andrew said to me that he wants to line up a defence in Wolverhampton – where he was born and comes to most weekends – if he claims the Lonsdale belt.

Moore dropped Facey several times and knocked a few teeth out in the process last time out.

Its a marking time fight in my eyes, although with Facey's awkward style it could prove a banana skin if Moore doesnt give the assigment his full attention.
