Who is worse? The blind man, or the man who follows him?

Anyway, it would be nice if a man who is the only person who nobody believed in came good. But Holyfield ain't gonna be undisputed world champion and Audley won't progress beyond European level.

Sorry, but if you want to live in delusion, more power to ya; for me it's time to face up to realism

I'll have a bet with anybody that Harrison doesn't win a European title. No chance.

I know its hard to defend Harrison when he keeps opening his mouth then gets knocked out like that, but you cant say that was anything other than a lucky punch. Sprott wasnt even looking! And when anyone gets caught flush like that there gonna go down.

Harrison has a terrible chin, Sprott shouldn't KO anybody like that. The signs were there throughout Harrison's career it was only a matter of time before that happened. Imagine what Skelton would have done to him.

Surely all talk of Harrison doing anything more than British level success should end here...

I think most of us would agree on that. :D

What Skelton would have done is have had his ears boxed clean off the sides of his head.

If it did happen, the constant pressure from Skelton would make it different from the Williams fight as it would force Audley to box. He couldnt just stand back or run away for 12 rounds and theres no doubting hes a superior boxer to Skelton. It would be a stupid fight for Skelton to take any time soon as he'd have absolutely nothing to gain from it.

Carbo, I thought that by now you'd have realised that I'm an Audley fan and will continue to be. I'm not claiming he is going to win this and that (any more), I'm just a fan of his.

Oh, fair enough then. But you need your head seeing too.

The first person who comes on here arguing that Audley will amount to anything beyond a mention on an Angus Deyton presented 'what ever happened to...' program should be f*cking banned.

Not much chance of him fighting in Manchester or Lancashire.

Yes, perhaps the referee should have lifted him up and plonked him in the corner with a broomstick up his arse so that Sprott could continue whaling on him.

Harrison looked like he'd been laid out on a slab, perhaps he was playing 'canvas-a-dope' in the hope that Sprott believed him to be unconconscious, knelt down to see he was ok, wherupon he would suddenly spring into action and begin the fightback, much like Audley's imitator, Muhammad Ali.

Say it loud and proud Chambers. I'm hoping to see him box live at some point. We can make a joint pilgrimage. Most pilgrimages involve journeying to a poor and desolate landscape, Sheffield, and seeing an ancient relic that once held great significance.

You seriously think Harrison could deal with Skelton's constant pressure? I seriously doubt it. What has Harrison shown in his career to suggest he could fight 3 minutes of every round against a strong pressure fighter like Skelton? Because that's what he would need to do to win.

I think Harrison would probably start well but go into his shell as Skelton keeps coming and starts landing more as the fight wears on. Either Harrison KO'd late or on his bike for the second half of the fight and losing a clear decision. I can't see how he could keep Skelton off him for 36 minutes of action I don't recall him fighting for more than about a minute of every round in his career.

I know I'm in the minority with this one, but I honestly feel Audley would stand Skelton on his head. Audley lost to Sprott because he was complacent. He wasn't scared of Sprott, and he doesn't "feel the fear", he gets all lethargic, like he did against Francis, Davis and many others. But when he's been in a fight there was a genuine possibility he might lose (prime example Williams 2), he responded accordingly. He seemed not to have that "edge" against Sprott, who on paper was inferior to Williams, who Audley had just trounced. He decked Sprott early and that must have confirmed his opinion, and he committed the cardinal sin of letting a beaten man back into the fight.

Consider also Audley-Danny 1. It was a terrible fight, but it was AFTER Audley had been knocked down that he did his best work. It was like a wake-up call, and he came within a whisker of stopping his man in the very next round. Williams was just as much to blame for the quality of that fight, as he did little more than trudge around after Audley, not throwing punches. Skelton will indeed bring pressure, which will force the best out of Audley. Audley returned fire against Williams when he was FORCED TO. Williams hadn't forced him to until the knockdown. Skelton will do it from the start.

However, as for Skelton, he looked terrible in his last fight, despite winning. I watched it live and thought, on that night, Audley would have embarassed either of them.

Come on, Williams was in such terrible shape in the rematch you can hardly use that as a comparison.

I just can't see how he'd beat Skelton. He doesn't have the gas tank.
