Two more for Calzaghe?
Providing he emerges victorious against Kessler on Nov 3rd, Joe has stated he wants to have two more big fights, securing big paydays, before he retires.
If this turns out to be the case, who would your choice of opponents be for those next two bouts, & how do you think Joe would fair against the boxers you have chosen?
I for one hope we see Joe top of the bill in USA before he hangs up the gloves. Think it will be a shame if this does not happen!

After losing to Kessler (provided he is not schooled comepletely) Joe should fight Hopkins and then Woods - and then retire. I think they would be interested because they can now see a chance of winning and Joe has gotten some goodwill around the world for taking the Kessler-fight.
Then he should fight Woods and show who the best British fighter is.
Then he can retire rich with one defeat after a lot of big fights.

Calzaghe Vs Froch
I am fed up of watching Hopkins - Wright and that talking biitch Tarver.
I would even prefer to see Joe Vs RJJ - at least Jones is still very skilful and it would be good to see how he handkes Calzaghe ( I always thought Calzaghe was the ONLY person to have a chancwe against a peak RJJ).
I think Froch has a good chance against Calzaghe and Fwank knows it.
Frioch Vs Calzaghe and if he wins, RJJ

Taylor will get KO'd by Pavlik again, so Joe-Taylor won't happen. I can't see Joe fighting in the states after all these years either. Joe-RJ in Cardiff is my bet. Or a re-match with Kessler, if Joe loses, which I'm thinking is quite likely. Hope I'm wrong.WildWaylon wrote:Calzaghe/Froch will never happen so we can forget that - Hopkins is a great fight but its more likely to be Taylor, you can almost bet on that.
are you saying Hopkin's doesn't have skills?DG. wrote:Calzaghe Vs Froch

I'd like Calzaghe to fight in the states for some twilight exposure - help his legacy a wee bit but, I doubt he will...
I think it was a shame he didn't go to America but nonethless - he's achieved alot... I think a fight against a RJJ or B-Hop in the USA would be a nice career finisher...
This is all dependant of course on him beating Kessler.

Not too scared to have been sitting ringside for a fight between Barrera and Morales (it was that fight wasn't it?)josh fg wrote:It'd be good if he took a fight in the states but I think he is scaired of flying or something.
Its strange how american fighters get less shit for not fighting outside there country.
I was being a bit ironic there sorry.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Not too scared to have been sitting ringside for a fight between Barrera and Morales (it was that fight wasn't it?)josh fg wrote:It'd be good if he took a fight in the states but I think he is scaired of flying or something.

The two fighters who are on the up at MW/SMW are Froch and Pavlik - these are the 2 Joe should fight after Kessler. After that Id say Clinton Woods, who deserves a payday, or Chad Dawson, probably the best LHW in the world right now. I dont think that Joe would prove much by fighting the old timers such as Wright, Jones, BHop, Trinidad or Tarver, all yesterdays men that Joe would beat easy right now (maybe not BHop)

I would love him to go up to LHW and become a two weight champion and fight someone like Woods who deserves the payday but I'd also like him to fight someone like Green or Briggs which guarentees toe to toe action.
Feel BHOP, Tarver or Jones will be detrimental to Joe has the Yanks seem to give him no credit and beating 1, 2 or 3 of the over the hill fighters with possibly the expection of BHOP will give Joe no credit; All the Yanks will say is he's still nothing special - who has he beat, an over rerated Lacy and an over the hill BHOP, Tarver (who wasn't that much good anyway) or Jones.
