I think Mormeck is too old and in Bell 1 was running out of steam in the first half of the fight, while Haye hits harder than anyone in the devision. I think it'll be close but I think they both have dissadvantages (haye too heavy Mormeck Age) but the strength of heye's punch'll sort him.thepocketrocket wrote:Kessler to win, his stinging shots will mean Joe cant get his workrate up, I say UD but he may knock him out
Mormeck will beat Haye, maybe stop him..Hayes dead at the weight and will come and try to KO Mormeck early, Mormeck wears him down
Hatton- Mayweather could be a draw, i dont want to pick a winner as it will come down to what style you like, its gonna be a warzone on the 9th
UK to get 3 out of 3?

His sting comes from combinations, he's only dropped Beyer In his last few fights.Kessler to win, his stinging shots will mean Joe cant get his workrate up, I say UD but he may knock him out
He had to keep working to keep Andrade's wild amateurish workrate back and still was hurt a little at one time and had a bloody nose. Kessler will lose definately If Joe puts him on the back foot not giving him a chance to box In combinations or use his footwork. He'll be mostly tucking his elbows In being overwhelmed.
Hatton does not have a chance In hell against Floyd. His pressure fighting lacks defence and eats straights as he dives In. Floyd can time Hatton with fast straights and enough will eventually drain Hatton like with Callazo.
A nosebleed in a boxing match? No way. ;)Max Molyneux wrote:His sting comes from combinations, he's only dropped Beyer In his last few fights.Kessler to win, his stinging shots will mean Joe cant get his workrate up, I say UD but he may knock him out![]()

Calzaghe would of disposed of Andrade much easier and could of done It one handed. Kessler's weak on the back foot and was get clubbed by caveman shots at times.nickd wrote:A nosebleed in a boxing match? Calzaghe's overwhelming style Is perfect for destroying Kessler when Kessler Is on the back foot.
Kessler got clubbed a few times by Andrade.... Calzaghe got clubbed and dropped by Kabary Salem. What's your point?Max Molyneux wrote:Calzaghe would of disposed of Andrade much easier and could of done It one handed. My point Is that If Kessler's weaknesses can be exposed by Calzaghe's style.nickd wrote:Kessler got clubbed a few times by Andrade.... Calzaghe got clubbed and dropped by Kabary Salem. Whats your logic to make you think Kessler has a chance?
Salem scored a fluke, my other point Is the Andrade fight was as perfect as people make out.

Calzaghe is 35 and injury prone with fragile hands and he's a sucker for a right hand. Kessler is younger and perhaps hungrier. He has a great solid straight right hand - Calzaghe's weakness as mentioned. This fight could have come at the right time for Kessler and perhaps a little late for an ageing Calzaghe. That logical enough for you?

Kessler doesn't throw the right hand as an overhand right and only throws In a combination. It needs to be an overhand right as a single shot that lands on Calzaghe. Kessler's throws too straight for that.
It's like think Floyd will lose just because Hatton's a pressure fighter.
35 but hardly beat up or worn out like most fighters who relie on strength, speed and fitness.

Kessler will land plenty of right hands be sure of that, you seem to be suggesting he wont? Age catches up with everyone eventually. It might not during this fight but it's a possibility and something to be considered in a logical analysis which is what you asked for.Max Molyneux wrote:Kessler doesn't throw the right hand as an overhand right and only throws In a combination. His right hands are too straight to be effective. It was single straight overhand rights that Reid hit Joe with.
Kessler typically throws them In combinations after a jab for example, there will be none landing the way he throws them.
Right hands are his weakness but It depends how you throw them like It depends how you pressure Mayweather.
Yes age catches up to all but he's not been typically battle worn or taken enough shots for It to catch up yet.

if i did this and got all 3 predictions right it wud be a fluke anyway so there would not be any credit due.............but for what it's worth I'm saying:
Calzaghe.......(best bet of the 3)
Mayweather....(I just anticipate him being a split second quicker, and equally as determined as Hatton)
and Haye......( although strangely I think there is probably more chance of Hatton winning his fight than Haye if that makes sense......simply in terms of not just balls and not just ability, but a combination of the two).
Hey, great to have 3 fights on the way tho that frankly you could give either opponent a chance in.

Frankly, all three have arguable outcomes, and are brilliant, brilliant fights. Just think: we've been asking for years for our British lads to unwrap the promoter cotton wool and put it all on the line, and here we are, with three fighters in 50-50 fights against exceptional opponents. And to cap it all off, at the end of it all we could have three undisputed champions.
That being said, I'm far too much of a pessimistically superstitious b*stard to think this will happen. I know, mathematically, that 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 has just as much chance of winning the lottery as 4, 17, 25, 31, 37, 45; and that England winning the Cricket World Cup would have absolutely no effect on how we perform in the Rugby World Cup in the same year. But I can't help thinking that seemingly random numbers have the better chance of winning me the jackpot and that realistically we can't hope to have separate world champions in different sports in the same year.
On that Basis alone, I suspect there'll only be one winner in the three fights. But, below, is my attempt at objectivity.
Calzaghe W12 Kessler. Calzaghe has the speed, skill, work rate and aggression to test Kessler, who, despite all the criticism Calzaghe faces for his choice of opponents, has not had the kind of quality of seasoning the Welshman's benefited from. Some things do bother me, though. First, Kessler is a quality operator, and clearly good enough to give anybody at 168 some worries. He has the fitness, strength and power to give Calzaghe troubles if the Welshman's age or weight issues start to catch up to him. Second, that right hand should definitely cause Joe problems, because he's a southpaw and, in addition to that, he doesn't through arrow straight himself. But I still think Calzaghe will keep Kessler on the back foot for long enough to score a close but clear cut decision.
Mormeck KO8 Haye. A random guess -- and anybody who tells you that anything else is possible when predicting this fight is either a liar or the reincarnation of that guy Robert De Niro played in Casino. I don't remember a single other fight that has more chance of ending in any way, in favour of any boxer, in any round. Will Mormeck be able to stand up to the power of that booming right cross Haye can seemingly laser guide onto a chin? How long will it take for Mormeck to push Haye onto the back foot? Which fighter will gas first? Will Haye's seemingly fragile chin stand up the test? Who knows? All I know is that I want to see it, and if I had to put my penis on the shariah law chopping block, I'd go for the more seasoned man, who has answered more questions at this level than the totally unproven-at-world-class Haye.
Mayweather W12 Hatton. It pains me to say it. I despise Mayweather and his bottomless pit of arrogance, self-aggrandizement and faux-gangsta bullsh*t. But he's also brilliant. He'd get splatted by Leonard and Duran, but, unfortunately, our Rick, lovely fella that he is, is no Robert Duran. I know he's strong as an ox, has a good chin and keeps coming all night, but I can't get around the fact that he's always struggled against runners and movers, and nobody will give him more angles than Mayweather. Dan Rafael reckons it'll be an easy night for the Pretty Boy, and while I don't think it'll be easy, I see little other than a convincing 2 or 4 round victory for the Grand Rapids Git.

Didn't see this thread. I'm still in though: proof.
Don't know too much about Mormeck or his current form though, so it'll be a shot in the dark. I'll say Jean-Marc. If Haye can't stun him and there's a strong reply, I think he'll get caught. KO either way then. I expect David to be more hyper, which could be his downfall. Or, he'll jab Mormeck's head off...
Finally, if I'm not out, Mayweather.

There's Ricky Hatton left to cap an amazing period for British Boxing.
Just think it is a step too far for Ricky Hatton. It would be truly amazing if he did it but in Floyd Mayweather you have a truly exceptional fighter - he will outspeed and outsmart Ricky and I actually think he will stop the Hitman.!!!!
