here's the thing there are some top 10 fighters out there who can't get a shot How must they feel??

No wonder there is a need to have 4 or 5 sanctioning bodies out there because if Mundine is the example then those fighters should try to win a title elsewhere.

I'm not sure if you are taking the piss here or not but I can't see that GM has gone overboard. This is another VERY average opponent for Mundine's so called Title defence. If Mundine couldn't see / isn't fit he wouldn't and shouldn't fight. This is another bad fight / mismatch Mundine has accepted, end of story.

This is exactly how I feel. I have been a Mundine fan but there is only so much I can take. There are so many class fighters in his division there is NO excuse to be taking such ridiculous match-ups ESPECIALLY for a "world title fight". I will probably watch this fight just for the .5% chance mundine gets KOed and the WBA belt is lost to a boxer barely scraping into the top 100.

I think that Mundine hand picks his opponents to past the point of rediculous and I believe what we should do is just not support his fighs whihc is what I do. Havnt bought a mundine fight since I bought the Green/Mundine fight

I thought Soliman II was a good fight but yeah I agree. Green and the 2nd Soliman fight have been the only stand out wins against quality opposition. I guess you could count Echols as well if you wanted to.

If he can't defend his title against a worthy opponent then the title shouldnt be on the line.

He could fight Butterbean for all I care. As long as they don't call it a world title fight.

There are no justifications to defending a world title against an opponent who lost 5 of his last 7 fights. With his only two wins coming against fighters with losing records.

I think the WBA should give Andrade a shot. I've only seen Andrade fight a few times but I think he would present a challenge for Mundine. The more bums Mundine keeps fighting the more of a bum he is going to looks like himself and the less likely it will be that quality opponents will want to face him.

If Anthony's wants our respect then he has to earn it.
If he can't fight because of his eye he should retire, sadly, because I like him.

Mate, let's be realistic here. There is easy fights and then there is absolute jokes. There are many, many other oppenents that Mundine could fight for a tune up that at least give a faint impression of credibility. The fact is though, to be a great you need to take risks, something that Mundine seems extremely unwilling to do.

I can see some of your points but Its just that Anthony keeps on talking about 'greatness'.
Perhaps a bit of acknowledgement that as a boxer he has done nothing that is anywhere near 'greatness' So far a very, very average 'Champion' at best.
His record speaks nothing above the ordinary as a boxer. And thats the fact, Jack
