The Mexican tabloid "Esto" reported that the Featherweight title fight between InJin Chi & Michael Brodie to find the successor to Erik Morales will go to purse bid in the offices of The WBC today at noon (Friday).

It is not known when and where British Michael Brodie and Korean In Jin Chi are fighting, in order to find successor of Erik "The Terrible" Morales as world featherweight champion of the WBC.
Yesterday the purse bid was carried out in the offices of the World Boxing Council in order to grant the Brodie-Chi fight to the highest bidder, but at the end of bid the two companies that were involved in the matter could not win.
As a result, the WBC decided that it is the committee of government with 36 votes who decides who will make the fight. It is hoped that the final result is had in about eight days.
The fights weren't granted to either of the two Promoters, Briton Barry Hearn, and South Korean Ku Sung Lee, because the Asian didn't respect the regulations of the CMB.
The rules of the Council point out that in an auction, the fight promoter who guarantees the biggest purse for the fighters has to discount the taxes of the country where the fight is held.
While the British offer was in order, the Korean offered tax-free purses for the fighters. The Asian promoter indicated that they would take care of the payment of the tax.
The CMB indicated that one could not accept the Korean offer, for not adhering to the rules of the Council. He pointed out that the British offer is inside the regulation. However, the Englishmen weren't given the victory, and everything will be decided in the meeting of the committee.
The Englishmen, represented by Don Majewski, offered a purse of 325 thousand dollars less taxes, while the Korean, represented by Ku Sung Reads, offered 322.900 dollars, but with the announcement that they would pay the Korean tax on the outside, a maneuver that the World Council doesn't accept.
