Haye to have a defence at cruzer should he win

According to Boxing Monthley Maloney recons that if Haye win's then he'll have another cruzer fight. That being the case there could still be a chance of the Mac fight. Just a thought.

That's just sensible to maintain your options. Keeps lucrative parties, like Enzo, interested.

I'm backing Haye to beat Mormeck, but I can't see him making a defense at Cruiser. It's very to all that David struggles to make & it's not just a little struggle either.

There was a recent picture of Haye on myspace during his training. I cannot say for certain, but I don't think Haye was very near the 200lbs limit & even then, there was not an ounce of fat on him.

I reckon he should move to HW. Last time out against Bonin, Haye weighed 217lbs & he was solid & well-conditioned.

Lastly, if he does stay at cruiser for a title defence, I can't see Haye-Maccarinelli happening. David has said many times that Enzo had his chance, & now it's gone!

If Haye was to receive a high purse, then who knows, he may change his tune!

THe thing about Mac is with Warren wanting options on Mohamed Azzaoui I can't see him not wanting to have them on Mac, therefore if he won he would be in effect contracting himself to two fights at Cruzerweight with a rematch. I think he can make cruzer one more time but not in 8 months or so, it'd be unwise and not good business sence.

I suppose if he does get beat, then their is a way to another domestic payday with Enzo.

Dispells the weight issue slighly though, i thought he said he'd have nothing to stick around for after winning this?

I'd be interested to know what weight Haye is at the moment.
Jean-Marc Mormeck looks a big bugger, but he's never seemed to have any problem making the weight.

but you forget that when he enters the ring at cruiser he is about that anyway.....

Mormeck is not big at the weight, he used to he a Light Heavyweight.

I know Haye-Maccarinelli is a fight we all want to see, but seeing Haye trying to make a big impact on the HW scene will be interesting awell.

All I'm saying is that I've heard it from both men themselves and I'd tend to believe them...money does talk though (then again, the money will surely be at heavy).

Be a crying shame if Mac vs Haye doesn't happen now. Yes, I was a bit slated for saying wait a few months - but now the waiting is over. Macc for all his criticisms, has had the one acid test which, for me anyway, has solidified him as a geniune champion. Haye will obviously get it in his title fight.

Even if Haye loses - still would now LOVE to see them fight.
