Calzaghe. Tend to favour Brits unless they are a) a dick or b) fighting one of my favourite fighters.

Nationality isn't that much of a factor for me.

I think Joe needs names on his record that reflect his talent. If he does lose and his legacy is tainted he can only really blame himself for not going after the big fights sooner.

it sounds like nonsense to me, if Joe's the best man, and I think he will be, whether he's 35 or whatever...in what way is that any worse for boxing than if Kessler wins?

Yeah but he doesn't consider himself ENglish. I was born in Spain but am in no way Spanish......

exactly, it's not.

because Kessler will take on world class opponents most of the time in his subsequent fights, duh...

As a proud Welshman, I am 100% behind Joe Calzaghe in the biggest fight of his career. All I ask is for a good clean fight with a fair result.

Calzaghe made weight with more than a lb to spare, whereas Kessler had to strip naked to make 168..

Kessler's a great fighter though and I wish him well in the overall context of his career. When he's not fighting Calzaghe I'll be a firm supporter.

Yeah you can see Joe wasn't joking about starving himself was he..Kessler has a look of steel about him, his eyes look like he KNOWS he's going to win.

Good preview by Claude Abrams in BN today, he goes for JC on points, or maybe late stopage.

When did Calzaghe last stop anyone decent? He couldn't put Lacy away despite landing an astonishing amounth of punches. And he couldn't even drop Charles Brewer. A Calzaghe win surely has to be a decision I can't see him knocking Kessler out or stopping him but for a dodgy stoppage.

......I remember you heavily debating if this fight would ever happen and here we our 1 day away.

It's going to be a great fight, I hope a classic to look back on.

For the record I'm going for Calzaghe to win, I reckon on points. I have always thought Calzaghe will have too much speed, movement and talent for Kessler, can't wait to see this one play out
