Boxerbob made a good point with Buchanan-Hatton, that would be exciting & yet, I'm sure no one has ever mentioned that one that I've seen in a thread like this.

As for myself, I could go all day here (as I suspect many of us could) so I'll try to limit it to a most-desired top 5 card from Heaven...

These guys as you know fought a 6 rounder in Philly. There's conflicting newspaper reports of who got the better of it. They were supposed to fight a longer bout,but Ketchel was shot to death. Willis Britt never recovered mentally from this. In a longer fight,who wins? I say Langford.

I mean that is just preposterous. To say someone like Willie Pep isn't even in Robinson's league is equally absurd. Just how far do people envision Robinson being ahead of every other champion who ever drew breath?

In my view, Robinson is the best pound-for-pound fighter. But there is far too little discussion surrounding this topic. It's just one of those things that becomes accepted beyond reproach over the years.

I agree with you in ALMOST everything you have said...The ONLY thing that I do not agree is that he was the best pound per pound...Henry Armstrong does it for me and many people.
