Old-school Calzaghe!

Post by Rocky Balboa »

Joe has said he doesn't lift weights & from what I've seen his training methods are similar to those of the the old-days. Calzaghe does lot's of running, conditioning work, medicine ball, abdominal exercises etc.

I don't think I've ever seen footage of Joe lifting weights in any training camp!

For someone who had no prior expeience as a trainer, Enzo Calzaghe has done marvelously well.

Old school!

Say what you want about it but guys from the old school could often go 15 at the drop of a hat and modern day guys struggle to even get to 10 rounds.

Thats mainly down too substituting roadwork with weight lifting. Weights are ok for a boxer, but the roadwork is essential.
