60 kg Frankie Gavin (No Chance)
ABA Boxing - dont set yourself up as a tipster, you will end up bankrupting us all!
Would like to hear your thoughts on Gavin's unprecedented victory - its a great day for British amateur boxing, don't ya think?!
Yes, exceptional performance from Gavin. I didn’t think he would get past Alexey Tischenko & am very much looking forward to them meeting at the Olympics. I wonder if Alexey Tischenko will drop down to Featherweight if he can lose the weight. To be honest I don’t think many people would have thought Gavin could have beat Tischenko, but to his credit he did it.
Was disappointed that Price didn’t medal or qualify & what happened to Perkins.
Tony Jeffries probably achieved what he was aiming for, in qualification & no doubt will be happy with his performance. Yet disappointed not to get a medal. Only a few weeks ago we didn’t know who was going to represent England at 81kg
Joe Murray & Bradley Saunders did exceptional to get to the medal stages and there place in the GB team.
Now Britain has something to look forward to, and there are still 2 more qualifying events to get a full squad to the Olympics.
Best keep my predictions to myself for the Olympics LOL
Don’t forget the Cubans joining in for that one!
