OT: Rooney's 'goal' v Arsenal

Post by dondada »

Thought I'd won a few quid as I bet on Shrek scoring but I'm in the red...apparently they've given it as a Gallas o.g.

Does anyone else think this is bollocks? Why are they being so picky with this these days? (Ahem...conspiracy...brown envelopes.)

It didn't look much to me...the shot was on target - these little deflections didn't used to get called.

Ian, I know you're gutted, but that shot was going nowhere near the goal whatsoever mate. It would have just gone across the face of the goal but for the deflection.

Wasn't it? I only saw it live with a couple of Sky replays - Sky gave the goal to Rooney and seemed to be of the opinion that it would be his, no problem. Wasn't really discussed much.

Really pisses you off when you see it in black and white (well, blue and white) and then you're told you're a loser.

Provided the Premier League have accredited it to Gallas, there's not much you can do. I'd suggest checking their website, if you haven't already.

It will go to the dubious goals panel who will decide within a few weeks. The premier league won't have made a decision yet so it sounds like that's the bookies interpretation

I thought you should give the goal to Rooney as well
