Money can corrupt the best of them, and it would be no surprise, once the big sanction fees start to flow in and the top promoters start calling, that fighters like Bobby Gunn suddenly start to appear in the ratings.
That could not happen, because the ratings are based on results.
Well that's what any sanction body will say: their ratings are based on results.
I'm just saying that while their ratings look fair at the moment, once the money starts rolling in, that could change pretty quick.

The IBF seemed fair at the start as well - brought in by the yanks to put paid to all those corrupt Latin American bandits etc etc

The IBO dont have any influence on the ratings they are done by an outside department based on results, so a Bobby Dobbs or JD Chapman could not get through the net. You have to beat rated people to get in the ratings.
