LESTER ELLIS "STRIPPED OF IBO JUNIOR MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE

In his biography "Fighting the Demons" (as told to Robert Drane) (ISBN 978 0 7333 2109 2) Lester Ellis claims that Boxrec's claim that he was stripped of the IBO Junior Middleweight title is incorrect, or at least news to him. Lester claims that the only misconduct was by the promoter, who did not pay him for the fight (pages 117-118). Perhaps you could check the veracity of this.

As far as I know, Lester has been stripped in November 1995 and Goossen won the vacant title in mid-1996...

IBO title was, still is & more than likely always will be Promoters' title, as was & is WBU & numerous other - ABSOLUTE CRAP

But seriously, folks, have you ever heard of anything as silly as a fighter being stripped of a title for "misbehaviour"? Sounds like something you would have got in trouble from the nuns for in primary school!
