Darren Corbett will challenge Matthew Barney for his WBU light-heavyweight title on January 31 at York Hall. Barney stepped in for Corbett, who pulled out injured, and pulled off a big upset to win the title from Tony Oakey in October.
Belfast man Corbett was about to announce his retirement from boxing when he held talks with former manager Barry Hearn during Brian Magee's recent IBO super-middleweight title defence at the King's Hall. Within weeks Hearn has landed Corbett a chance to win a 'world' title.
"It feels like my career has just started all over again," said Corbett.

I didn't know it felt that good to be inline for a shot at the WBU crown
