Found these on the net while looking for unclothed ladies... only kidding. The Hitman looks in fine fettle, lets hope he gets a good result against Floyd Mayweather and doesn't have to chase him all night

looks really good, bodes well.

just don't get too excited as over there Floyd will be ripped to f$$k too.....so it's gonna come down to skills, tactics and workrate more than simply who wants it I'd say.

which predictios-wise probably ranks right up there with either side could win this, or it could be a draw!

Mayweather has Skill, no doubt, but I reckon Hatton will win the Tactics battle and outwork him.... Id love to say he will stop the mouthy bastard but....

Hatton is a master tactician and student of the art no doubt. I think so much of boxing comes down to outright intelligence and guile and Ricky has it.
Whether Floyd can handle Ricky's approach remains to be seen.....I'm a bit worried for Hatton as last time he boxed at Welter if I'm correct was against Collazo and he tired pretty badly.

they changed the fighter and the weight at short notice... If I remember right I think it was an orthodox boxer at 140 and they ended up with a southpaw 147....

I reckon Floyd's negative way will make him pay. Against Oscar, who does not specialise in pressure, he was taken to split decision. Hatton's pressure will be faster and better. If Floyd doesn't throw enough punches to go with his twisting turning and moiving it will cost him on the cards.

Mayweather seems very confident from the snippets I've been watching on Sky, I doubt he would be so unprofessional as to do so BUT....if he underestimates the threat posed by Hatton then he'll probably come unstuck......skills or no skills. When a fight starts going one way it can be hard to turn it around midway through.

Nice little segment on Hatton last night, he looks in amazing condition. Being in shape so long before the fight will really serve him well. I'm starting to think he has a good chance. Let's see how Mayweather deals with the pressure of fighting 3 minutes every round - it's going to take a P4P performance from him to beat Hatton I reckon. Don't think Mayweather has looked as good at Welter as he did at 135 and 140.

What a great fight. Can't remember the last time I was this excited about a fight, not since Lewis retired anyway.

I don't think we'll have a British fighter involved in a fight of this magnitude again for a very long time. I've picked Hatton since the day it was announced. He can do it. Come on, Ricky!!

All TV ever mention about hatton is what great shape he is in the stage into his camp. But when you see him on the body bag and pads he looks so open to a multitude of shots.

Fitness is one thing, but you need to have the skills to beat Mayweather and I don't think Ricky has.

Anyone else think that Ricky is overating how mych Mayweather is under estimating him??

he knows the bag aint gonna get a KO

I think Floyd's playing mind games, hoping his supposed lack of respect for Hatton as a fighter might have an adverse psychological effect on Ricky. This ploy, though, will probably backfire and motivate Hatton even more. I don't believe Floyd really underestimates Hatton though. Whatever reasons he might give, he knows Ricky did a number on a fighter he struggled with (Castillo) and beat THE man at 140 (Tszyu) the same month he was fighting a washed-up Gatti. No, Floyd will be fully prepared as always, but I just think Hatton will have too much for him.

Just wanted to add that I don't think he underrates Hatton as much as he overrates himself and is over-confident. He feels he's faced every style, can beat them all and that Ricky brings nothing new to the table. He sees him as another Jesus Chavez, Castillo-type pressure fighter. We know Ricky has a few extra ring smarts he can call on, like quick lateral movement, sudden. explosive changes in pace etc. We shall see. Can't wait!

Agreed, but he still looks very wild if only on the bag.

Thats precicely it Mayweather like Froch overrates himself and that could be his downfall (hope it is). - My son in law "Mr. Sport" as many know him is rarely ever wrong with his predictions and he thinks Ricky will win by KO in round 5 - Hes a great bloke to have in your team for pub quizzes, knows bugger all about general knowledge but gets all the sports questions right - My own view is Ricky will win with body punches, which he is a master at - What round, who cares as long as we dont see a red on his Boxrec record, Dec 9th.
