That's right. Catchweight lies beyond middleweight, please change. Belts not at stake, nor Ring's title... Taylor is moving up to SM after that match anyway...

WBC Convention Update!
By Boxing Bob Newman FightNews November 13, 2007
http://www.fightnews.com/wbc04.htm
*It was rumored during the open ratings meeting on Monday that the rematch
between WBC Middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik and former champ Jermain
Taylor would indeed be for the title. These rumors were spawned in part
by an erroneous schedule listing on the internet
that states such, despite
Taylor's pre and post fight comments that the first fight with Pavlik would be
his last at 160 lbs. regardless of the outcome. The rematch clause for that fight,
pending the eventual Taylor loss stated that the subsequent fight would be over
the limit of 160 lbs.
Mauricio Sulaiman stated the WBC's position, "We don't know specifics
about the contract weight for this fight. We haven't received anything
yet on this. However, the WBC feels that the title should be on the line
whenever a reigning champion steps in the ring, especially in a rematch
of the fight in which the new champion just won the title. What is gained
by having a rematch over the weight limit?" It was noted that Pavlik, as
champion, could request an exemption to participate in a non-title fight,
as has happened throughout boxing history
, Roberto Duran among others.
