It was a pretty thorough pasting he copped in fairness.

I would bet that he will.
To be fair he'd had some piss easy fights, only to get thrown in at the deep end with Pac.
I think MAB has a better performance in him, he could win a return. Even if not there's only Marquez out there that could maybe beat him.

He'll do well to get anywhere near the form he showed against Naseem. He's had a lot of fights now too and at 29 is at that age where lighter-weight fighters just start slipping past their prime.

He was obviously not the same fighter against Pacquiao, even though Manny boxed a great fight

I think while he's still a very good fighter, his best days are behind him.

Yeah I agree. Especially in the case of Barerra who hasn't had a really tough fight as such for a few years now, partly due to becoming a more conservative and selective boxer. When the time came to dig into that well once again and come out firing the way he used to, meet Pac's fire with his own it just wasn't there. He needed to revert back to MAB V1 on this occasion and couldn't.

I don't think Marco looked any less of a fighter than he did against Naz. Certainly in the first round it looked like business as usual. But it turned out that Barrera had met his match, he'd never beat Paquiao unless the Filipino was having a seriously off night.

If he carries on now it'll be for paydays. If Pac v Marquez can't be made then I still happily settle for Barrera v Marquez what with all the Mexican pride on the line.

Barrera will retire i hope from boxing, he has reached his peak, and would only suffer more damage to his already plated? skull.

He has been a good fighter, he has made enough money, time to leave.

I just don't want to see Barrera end it like that, I like to see him against Marquez with the winner fighting Pacquiao. I believe Marquez is a tad slower than Pacquiao (not sure who hits harder, I would have said Marquez but I have never seen Jabs hurt Barrera like Pacquiao's did).

If Barrera comes through, then he's worthy of a rematch.
