Well done to David Haye. Put himself in that position and he did it.Raff The Frenchman wrote:how can this fight have been one sided?? Mormeck was leading at time of stoppage and scored a KD, how the heck can this be one sided?
The killer blow was a right hook: neither the uppercut nor looping right hand that actually put him down. Despite this fact that seems to have been completely ignored, Haye boxed exactly like I wanted to see Johnny Nelson do several years ago against Mormeck. But even factoring that in, Mormeck's punch output was low (especially his jab).
My guess has long been Mormeck's ideal weight to be around 180-185lbs.
I think he bulks up the extra 15 and without it you'd see a higher volume of the technical brilliance he has tended to show in flashes these past several years. He could be a nightmare at a lower weight with a higher pace. But: age, activity, acclimation: c'est la vie.

very true : Mormeck was really good as a LHW, also the punch that took him out was indeed that counter right, that ripped on his left eye and had Mormeck blinded, if u take a look at the fight again Mormeck is more hurt from the eye that knocked out. Post fight u can see his eye swollen and red.Manos de Oro wrote:Well done to David Haye. Put himself in that position and he did it.Raff The Frenchman wrote:how can this fight have been one sided??
