Mosley hasn't knocked out anyone in 7 years, apart from Vargas who my Gran could knockout these days. And Cotto only gets shaken up by serious knockout punchers, which Shane has never been.

Demarcus Corley was never a big puncher?

Shane used to be a big puncher at Lightweight - phenominal power. It looked like it was coming back also vs Collazo.

Shane's KO's even at lightweight came from rattling combinations. At Welterweight he was never quite as impressive. People made far too much of his win over Vargas.

Let's not forget that Hatton dropped Collazo early, and Hatton was never considered a devastating hitter at 140, but rather an attritional fighter.

Hatton KD if I am not mistaken was a tadge on the fortunate side - didn't their feet mix up? Collazo was hurt far worst vs Mosley.

Adrian Stone might think otherwise regarding Shane's power.

My Setanta on Freeview went into closedown at 3am, anyone else have this problem? So i set the video for the 12.30pm replay and left it on Setanta only to find out when it resumes after closedown you have to switch stations and go back, it doesn't come on automatically

When i finally got to see the fight, i thought Cotto was a worthy winner, he is displaying a world class jab now and like against Judah he showed he can fighty southpaw effectively and not just as a distraction. I make a Cotto V winner of Hatton-Mayweather a 50/50 fight, who would have though Cotto could match him for speed?

And as for Margarito, i think the fact he was so awkward and high risk/low reward allowed a myth to be built up around him making him better than he is. Joshua Clottey smashed left hooks and right hands off his head constantly before his hands gave way. Margarito is strong, fit and relentless but predictable and can be outboxed. Cotto would be too much IMO.

Yeah but like James says, he was never a big puncher two divisions up.

Corley is not a massive hitter, no, though I saw him show real power winning the WBO title inside a round a few years back, plus didn't he shake up Floyd a bit?

Anyway, Cotto looked near dead when making 140 later on, so no wonder his legs went a bit against Corely.

At 147 he's looked very solid, and Zab could knockout anyone if he connects, even shaking up a rock chinned Tszyu.

I thought Cotto looked very strong and looked the boss throughout. What did disappoint me was that Mosley appeared gassed after 8 rounds and yet it was he that pushed the pace in the later rounds. I would like to have seen Cotto assert himself to dominate the last few rounds, which I think he was more than capable of doing.

I had Mosely winning by 2

Thought the commentators were giving far too much credit to Cottos work whilst not acknowledging Moselys and constantly banging on about how tired Mosely looked.

But the judges back them up so I guess it was me watching another fight!

I was at the fight and i thought mosley just won it, but when speaking to my dad who watched on tv he had cotto a clear winner. will have to watch the re-run but its interesting that when watching live without the commentray how different fights can be scored.

Almost like there was some agenda for Cotto winning.

"And Mosely is soooo tired, how is he standing up? How is he doing it?" asked the commentator around the 8th round - I thought Mosely was well in the fight!

Then they made a really negative deal out of Mosely being aware it was the 9th round up next, like he was counting the rounds because he was in survival mode - he then won the next couple of rounds so I think he had timed a surge but they never even acknowledged this.

If there was an agenda the judges were in on it too!

I was at the fight and had Cotto up a couple of points.

Watching the Setanta broadcast like most on here I thought the commentary was appalling.

Obviously its expensive to fly a UK commentary team out to the US but couldn't they have Rawling and Woodhall doing the UK commentary over a TV monitor. Better than listening to those feckwits.

dont like conspircay theories but my old man said the same, who do the powers that be want winning, an ageing 36 year old with a year at the top left or an unbeaten young gun with massive support.
