I cant believe you guys are forgetting Hides vast experience with heavyweights. Hes hardly a bum regardless of whata complete cock he is.

Hes clever enough and still nimble enough to move around & sling some bombs in Enzos direction. Do you think Enzo will just walk through them?

he still looks fit and fast and seems the naturally bigger man, so who knows.

Herbie was def disadvantaged as a heavy - some giant opponents - and WBO title wins over Damon Reed, Willie Fisher, Tony Tucker and Michael Bentt are definitely the equal of Enzo's title reign, if not better!

IMO Hide is still a compelling figure and may have something left vs men who don't stand 6'5 + and weigh 240+ lbs.

Thats what i was thinking. Love him or hate him, Hide really did bludgeon a loooong string of US imports. Some of the guys, like Frankie Swindell or Bigfoot or James Pritchard, were regarded as real tough guys over the pond.

You can fairly argue Hide's only lost twice when dedicated, to Klitschko and Bowe. Bad losses, yeah, but those were two massive muthas. I can't see Herbie worrying about Enzo too much, until he looks down to find he's line dancing.

It would be a good benchmark for Macca, because he needs to show a paying public he's a genuine world talent.

Good PR move to fight Hide. A lot of men on the street who watched terrestrial boxing in the 80s/90s dont have a clue what its all about now but STILL remember the name Herbie Hide.

I loved the Hide-Bowe fight. Hide looked awesome till he started getting dropped. He landed some monster shots and has fast feet. The 200-lb cruiser division is made for guys like Hide and Glenn McCrory. Hide has a last chance and he can do something in this weight. I'll bet he blasts Fragomeni out.

EM is an amiable bloke, a good fighter who is improving, with a top trainer. Hide is a punk, is chinny, ten years past his best and knocking over blokes who'd be floored by a 30mph wind....

I can't understand the support he gets. He's likely to get sparked early and he doesn't come across as the kind of bloke you'd want to root for.

Enzo: Dominguez, Hobson, Braithwaite, Gunn, Azzaoui
Hide: Tucker, Bentt, Reed, Willie Fischer.

They have something in common. At least Herbie went for Riddick Bowe after he won his WBO title, a bigger more powerful man. If only Enzo would do that with Haye!

a lot of us watched Hide on terrestrial TV or Sky in the '90s and probably liked his fast feet, fast hands, power and were excited by his car wreck of a career. anything he touches can implode, even himself.
