Danny Green Looks Busy

Post by steve689 »

According to the schedules Danny Green has a busy December. Fighting Antonio Tarver on 1st and then on the 16th Stipe Drews. Can ayone shed any light on this scheduling? :o :TU:

Tarver's off, surely. Gary Shaw's blamed Green for being scared. Better having a world title shot than in having a win over a joke like Tarver. Drews is actually a harder fight.

"Tragic," sorry, "Magic Man" is fighting Danny Santiago instead. In Santiago's last fight he lost a WBO shot at Erdei.

Looks like he is working his way down the organisations.

Thanks fellas, i was sort of looking forward to Green fighting Tarver and wondering how Tarver would cope with his punch power, fitness and bodywork. Seems Danny Santiago is in now in place of original replacement George Blades, Santiago is a nice guy but very limited. It's a piss poor fight and can Green now go one better than Paul Briggs and stop Drews?

According to today's Sun Herald newspaper Alexander Gurov, the 6'5" Ukrainian hired to spar with Green to prepare him for the fight is too tall for Danny's basement gym!

Maybe Danny can fight Droopy Drawers in the cellar?

I think Green can stop him but the early rounds will be very entertaining, Drews is a good boxer and should be able to outbox Green early but he hasnt got the best stamina or chin so i think Green will get to him late.

That gym is crazy, he would almost have to be on his knees in the ring to avoid hitting his head. :P
