Flags on Mosley and David Haye shorts

Noticed that both fighters were wearing foreign flags on their shorts.

Anyone know the full story?

Mosley has the South Korean flag on his shorts which I take to be a bow to his presumably Korean wife? IS this correct?

David HAye also carried the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus's flag which I assume is because he trained there?

It is a bit controversial given the history of Cyprus, and the Turkish invasion - not to mention that Greek Cypriots lost much of their property.

Mark Hobson also had the Turk Cypriot flag on his shorts in his recent win over Keeton.

Actually, I noticed that Oscar Dela Hoya had a pin badge in his suit while presenting one of the Mayweather - Hatton. It was a yellow line drawing of a star with a yellow fist inside on a red background. When I looked it up, I realised it was the flag of the Kurdistan Workers Party, those Kurdish seperatists causing so much trouble for Turkey right now.

Does anybody know if Oscar has connections with the PKK, or perhaps, any Kurdish family members? Does GBP support the efforts of the PKK?

Perhaps the military told Haye and Hobson (who i presume also trained in Northern Cyprus) to wear the flag as a sort of political statement due to the fact they let them train there and base their camp in the Northern region. That's the only explanation i can think of, i remember when i was in Cyrpus they said tourists had to get out of the northern province by a certain time. I imagine a stipulation of basing camp there was to wear the flag on the fighters shorts.

there are 3 crossings to northern cyprus from the south, on entry you are issued with a 30 day free visa and can even take your hire car from the south up there, providing you pay the 10 quid insurance for the cover note....so

if you go on holiday to cyprus why not cross the border and experience a different culture for a day or too, its nice. beautiful scenery in kyrenia (girne) etc... stunning views from the mountains to the northern cyprus coastline.

equally you can take a holiday directly in the north, but your plane must go via turkey for a short stop as TRNC is not recognised on the world map !!

as for the turks making the greeks homeless etc on invasion in 1974, there are 2 sides to the story, and each account has similar impact and propaganda value. the greeks invaded took cyprus off the turks hundreds of years ago !!

personally i was born in cyprus, but on the greek side, but i keep an open mind about the troubles.

father was a military man, i was a military man, i was born in dhekelia, but spent 17 years of my life in cyprus, i know akrotiri well, served 5 years at the TPMH hospital there in akrotiri in the operating theatres..late 80's till early 90's....

Good for him if he does... the situation could do with more publicity. The PKK do a lot of bad things but they are working to a good end, the same is not especially true of Turkey, who mainly want the status quo.

While we're on the subject... does anyone know why Marco Antonio Barrera has a tattoo of a "Fighting Irishman" on his chest? Well, that's what it looks like to me. Anyone know what the story is behind that?
