Post by Jacko11 »

I.ve seen most of this fights and i'm telling you he is very very underated,he's like a Ted Bami but very talentd and cool.Only problem is he goes to sleep for a month or two then takes months to get fit again plus his manager Mike Shinffield seems to thin he doesnt need regular fights- why i dont know?? Has anyone seen him apart from me?Light welter from West Bromwhich

His record is impressive.
Yes, he needs to make a move soon if he intends getting somewhere in the money ranks.

I saw him on the Roberts/Garcia undercard last March. he was pretty destructive but managed to break his jaw, even though he went on to win!

Sorry guys, I must have missed this thread - I was about to start one on Mutley.

Yes, the little I have seen of Mutley I have been impressed, he's in a devision in which he can cause a bit of a stir, apart from the top two (now excluding the Welter Magee) I think the devision is wide open. I think Bami had the potential to go places, butI'm not sure he can come back from such a loss.

Not meaning to sound disrespectful, but Allan Bosworth is now a firm fixture in the top 5 and the guy has 13 defeats. I honestly think 2004 will be an excellent year for Mutley and he might be domestic champion by the end of it.

Has anyone seen this guy in action more often than I have (which is only bits), what is his chin like? He has one defeats which was an early points defeat to a journeyman - its just I always have doubts about peoples chin when they fight in that relaxed manner.

Good comparisons about Mutley and Bami aswell, I have seen the similarities.

Cheers Peter and Kevin.

I take it he survived the heart and chin tests - Peter, what do you call him - is Young Mutley mearly his stage name or is that what everybody calls him. I realise that is not his birth name.
