Why is McDermott nominated for the English, when he beat Gammer in an eliminator for the British?

And any news on what happened with the Skelton purse bid today?

Interesting - will Danny Williams EVER fight again? It'd be a shame if he didn;t - for all his faults, the remains the most watchable of the British heavyweights...

And he looked in great shape against Gammer (although some of that might've been down to Gammer being a bit poor).

Strange, thought he'd be supporting his brother.

Watson is fighting Ali. I don't know what Matthew Hatton is doing.

Virches has given up the title as he's No1 ranked with one of the world bodies (work that one out). So the EBU fight between Skelton and Dimtrenko is for the vacant title.

Anyone else think that Craig Watson is getting thrown in quite quickly against the likes of Ali and Hatton? He's only been 8 rounds once, and also only beaten 2 boxers with winning records.

Isn't Virches fighting Gomez in a WBC eliminator? (Should be an easy win for Gomez)

Yeah thats right, I think the WBC are hoping that Gomez will lose one of these eliminators, as i don't think he's a favourite of theirs.
but Virches is too one dimensional to beat Gomez IMO.

What sources say Smigga and Derry Matthews are fighting at the Echo Arena next year? Boxrecs schedule has both down for February 2nd at that arena.
