DECEMBER 8TH - TELLY.

Post by DavidPayne »

Okey dokey.

By my reckoning and its hard to keep up we have the following bouts:

Jamie Moore EBU 154

Amir Khan v Graham Earl

Ali Nuumbembe v Craig Watson

John Duddy v Howard Eastman

Dean Francis v TBC

Lacy v Manfredo - SKY BOX OFFICE 1am ish

Hatton v Mayweather - SKY BOXOFFICE 3AMish

Anyone want to confirm channels and times for the others.

Moore is part of the SBO broadcast, which starts at 11pm. There will no doubt be time to show Nuumbembe-Watson and Dean Francis, too.

Khan will be on ITV.

Let's hope there's TV for Elcock-Abraham.

I don't know abut Duddy-Eastman, if you haven't got BBC Northern Ireland, & I'm thinking a lot of us haven't got it.

I've got my package with Virgin Media, so I think it's different. I'll have alook, but don't think we have BBC NI in my house.

Aye, I've got Virgin too. They were right to take on Sky, of course, but it annoys me that I can't get the interactive services when I'm paying for Sky fecking Sports.

Whenever the BBC have live sport on any regional channels, ie football on BBC Scotland, its not available in the rest of the UK. Something to do with the contract.

Think that's dependent on the sport though and the contract for each individual event. I'd imagine the Duddy fight should be ok, it will probably be available online on the rte website anyway.

Dunno about Elcock's fight. Any chance Sky might pick it up to add to the PPV, unlilkely I suppose. Or maybe Setanta given that they won't have any other boxing action that night.

I watched McCullough-Larios 1 on BBC NI when I was living in Wales.

Wayne told a few days ago that Setanta were likely to pick it up, though would wait for the price to drop a little bit.

Sounds like they are employing the same kind of tactics they used for the Haye-Mormeck fight.

I think RTE have the Duddy fight, it's not on BBC NI as well is it? If BBC NI have it then i expect them to show it on a delay on Sunday night or something like they have done before with his MSG bouts. You can get BBC NI on SKY i think it's channel 963 or something, with all the other regional stations.

I've been told BBC Northern Ireland are carrying it live as well.

I hope Setanta do pick it up. At the moment, Setanta's next confirmed boxing show is Arthur-Foster Jr. on Dec. 15th.

Looks like replays will be crucial, if there's something on every channel.

There's bound to be some collisions on this one.

Bit crap if everything's all on the same time.

Wayne's World title fight is still on ARD German TV at moment, 9.30 UK time. Probably clashes with the Moore fight I guess?
I'll do and round by round is needed, but I reckon one of the UK channels might pick it up and show delayed during the build up.

Think Sky did the same with the Abraham/Eastman fight a few years back

doesn't Elcock look like Jermain Taylor?

hopefully sky do that with the delay, but hopefully they show the full fight. they didn't show full eastman-abraham.

starting to think abraham is very beatable. wouldn't be surprised if one of the Brit/Irish middles unseated him. though there would probably be foul play i.e. cut a guy with a punch and it'll go down as a head clash/TD

in the near future, mature versions of andy lee and darren barker will seriously fvck up guys like abraham
