Seen him fight on several occasions and he looks a very very talented fighter. He's back on UK soild on Thursday on a Mayfair card. According to the schedule it looks like he brought over a Danish friend (Kim Poulsen) for the undercard.

Anyone know what the deal is? Is he part owned by Risum and Mayfair - its seems to be pretty much one fight in England, on fight in Denmark (under Risum). Kim Poulsen is a Risum fighter also.

I do like the looks of him and I hope he can mix it with the likes of Stuart Green or even say Dean Phillips in the near future. I think he is ready for the next test - power could be a major problem. Is he eligable for the British title, having won the masters title I would assume he is.

Does seem a bit strange that he goes to Sweden for some training, as pro boxing is hardly allowed there, can't see that he'd get quality sparring.

Didn't Ayub Kalule base himself out of one of the scandinavian countries during his career?

Very good fighter is Rocky, though perhaps lacks a bit of pop in his fists.

Managed by Mickey Helliot and fights on his shows in Mayfair.

Rukundo boxed as amateur in Sweden.

Kalule was based in Denmark.

Well itlooks like I was right in saying that Rukundo is ready for Stuart Green, he won a shut out decision vs Green on Thursday. I had no idea he was fighting Green when I made the first post.

Hows, about Dean Phillips vs Rukundo or even (still) Stuart Green.

Rukundo is fighting on "homesoil" in Sweden next saturday. His opponent is the dane Jadgar Abdulla, it will be 4 rounder.

Since that last post of Freiheit's, Rukundo has gone on to have another win in Sweden, and last night "avenged" his draw with Osiobe in Denmark, winning a UD in Denmark. Picks up the prestigious UBO lightweight title, plus the WBC-affiliated African Boxing Union title. Moving in the right direction.

Rukundo did a decent job last night. He was a substitute for Samuel Kebede. That also meant that the fight was at lightweight and not super featherweight which was the weightclass for the Osiobe vs Kebede fight and the difference in size really showed.
