I've been to Vegas nine times and have had plenty of nights out!!! Hope the missus doesn't read this!!!
Best clubs to look at are:
Pure @ Caesars Palace
Tryst @ Wynn Hotel
Body English @ Hard Rock Hotel
Tao @ Venietian
Jet @ Mirage
Mix Bar which is at the top of the Mandalay Bay is a nice bar, you can stand out on the balcony and overlook the whole Vegas strip. The same with the Ghost Bar at the top of the Palms Hotel.
Tabu is more of a lounge bar/club. Studio 54 and Rain are ok. Coyote Ugly is just a bar full of blokes looking at fit women sing and dance on the bar.
I bought VIP tickets once for some clubs and the doorman did not have a clue what they were! For entry into the clubs I suggest you really need to get a host to escort you in they will cost around $75-$100 a club, its sounds a lot but considering you only get the chance once its worth saving all the aggrevation of queing and trying to chat to the doorman. There are plenty advertising on the web. The lines for entry are massive and hectic, doorman are only interested in one thing and thats $$$$! Otherwise if there is a big enough group of you, you can order a table direct with the club with bottle service this also cost big money and they usually state women have to be in the party.
Agree with Jamie's post.
Pure is a good club, I also like the Mix at Mandalay Bay, but I was staying in there so i had easy access to get in.
I don't know if you've been to Vegas before but if you are at one end of the Strip and want to get to the other it can take ages, and even with cabs you can end up walking miles just inside these massive hotels so if you are planning to visit two clubs in one night don't go for the Tryst & Mix because they are at opposite ends of the Strip.

You can't fail to have a great time in Vegas.
Yeah, went in May for the DLH fight but it was also Kentucky Derby weekend so was a nightmare to get in anywhere. I'm staying at MGM, so will ask to put us all on the Tabu and Studio 54 guest list but we can't use the VIP service that Jamie uses as there's only 4 of us and it's a minimum of 6.
We're gonna canvas all the clubs next week to see if they can put us on the guest list, or whether we can buy reputable club tickets anywhere.
Tryst @ Wynn is amazing
Pure @ Cesears
Ghost Lounge @ Palms - 55 floors up on the roof, perspex floor at the back of the balcony which you can stand on. Freaks you out!!

Not unless you wanna queue for 3 hours. Even if the place is dead inside, they still make you wait.
And they have very strict dress codes, so check them on-line before you go in.
COOL so how do you go about getting on these guest lifts? and what u mean by strict code, jeans and shirt ok??/
Phone them up. If it's in a Casino/Hotel, ring the Concierge as they're usually quite helpful. However, if you're staying in the place it gives you more clout.
Phoning the club will be harder for UK based people as they don't open until 10.30pm, at least. Luckily I'm working in the US from Monday.
I'm organising a BoxRec meet up next week so maybe we can all invade a club (in small groups, mind) one night over the weekend.
A nice pair of Jeans, Shoes and Shirt will get you in.
You can call the clubs to get on the guest list but anyone can do that and it still does not gaurentee entry. Sometimes the guest list que is not much smaller than the regular line. Like punchers chance says you need to plan your night so the bar you go to is near to the club you have chosen. If you have not planned your night you end up like a lost sheep and end up on the tables losing all your $$$!!
Like I said if you have the money organise a VIP host. They are connected with clubs and doorman. When I go I pay my $100 meet the host at the hotel straight to the club and escorted straight in. Thats the way to roll in the Big LV!!!

Drais at the Barbary Coast can get amazing - its where the strippers go to dance when they have finished working. If your chat is good, you'll invariably pull one.
Er, if Mrs Loynes is reading, this is what a friend told me, honest...
