not sure how many of you fellas are from the 35-50 age group but if you are then get your arses out to see the jam on their latest country wide tour, they are fantastic, yes there is no paul weller but foxton and buckler are there and a lead singer called russel hastings who really is the mutz nuttz. all the old favourites baing played, really fab.

i went in grimsby last night with my son, will be in nottingham next tuesday....cant wait.

Might sound good Rhino, but they have got a liberty portraying themselves as The Jam.

They wrote none of the songs . Weller was the brains and must be p*ssed off at their antics.

Saw them at a small gig on the isle of wight, very good .
The singer russel hastings is excellent.

To tell the truth i've gone off Paul Weller recently, yes he's a great musician, but he seems to come across as very bitter about the past. shame really.

they are calling themselves 'from the jam' and stuff like news of the world was written by foxton, weller has given the get together his blessing and the lads are just trying to roll back the years for the masses.

this is no 'jam tribute' band. its as near to the real thing as we are gonna get howerdays. i saw them in may with an open mind and was very impressed, the old pogo legs made a re-appearance after 20 odd years.

have a look...you will enjoy it.

weller wrote the fornicating rest.

the other 2 played a big part musically though.

and i agree that it's as close to the real thing as ya gonna get and a lot cheaper than checking out weller solo.

The Jam were great. Their peak was just a bit before my time but I really got into them a few years back and got a box set which was briliant.

Not sure about seeing them without Weller though.

The Enemy are really ripping off the The Jam at the moment, anyone heard them? To be fair they are bringing that style to a new generation so not as bad a rip-off as one might initially think.

Incidentally I saw these guys a couple of years back http://www.thejamm.com/ who are a Jam tribute band. A good laugh.

I went to see "From The Jam " on Sunday, had a great time watching 40-50 year olds acting like teenagers

I'm only 33 so I was too young when "The Jam" were around originally, so this was the next best thing, if you get a chance go and see them a great night WILL be had

I saw "The Enemy" a month or so ago in the students union, they were fantastic full of energy and anger, so much so that it kicked in the middle of the gig

Also if you get a chance check out 'Carbon Silicon' , which has Mick Jones (Clash), Tony James (Generation X), Leo "Eazykill" Williams (B.A.D) and Dominic Greensmith (Reef).

Seen them a couple of times at small gigs, and Mick Jones can still get yer going
