51 -----Sattibayev Olzhas------ Luis Yanez -------- KAZ ---------25-14
57------Jafarov Galib-----------Raynell Williams -----USA ---------22-8
64 -----Ashirov Darkhan ------Javier Molina--------- USA --------27-14
81 ------Lei Yuping (China)------Chris Downs ------- USA-------- 12-10

+91----Rgcebayev Rustam-------Mike Hunter--------- USA --------18-9
60------ Mussaeirov Erzhan -------Hu Qianxun (China)--CHN------ 31-14
Because boxers from all 3 teams got banged up in the test event, some changes had been made to try and have 7-8 bouts per session.
In the China-USA dual, USA will have 6 boxers compete with Hunter going against KAZ again. Yanez, Williams, Molina, Estrada and Downs will box CHN.

JohnDoes results are correct. Yanez boxed at 51 because most of the guys were a little heavy and this was just duals after the test event. The Chinese guy Yanez boxed is the world champ and Olympic broze medal winner at 48 kg. The duals were in is home town of Zunyi, China. It will be different the next time they meet, hopefully in the Olympics. Yanez will be stronger and the coaches will have a good plan. He lost to the Cuban in the Pan Am quailifier but beat him in the Games.boxmel wrote:Would like confirmation before I post on my web site.

Kaz
What weight class is Kaz's Borat Sagdiyev in?
There match was a wrestling match but Shiming was getting all the points while the majority Chineese judges were not giving Yanez hardly any points. The coaches wisely decided to not let Yanez get hurt in the 4th round with all of the wrestling when it was obvious he was not going to win. It was Shiming's home town and he is a hero there.Dennis wrote:So you think Yanez can beat Shiming? I hope so.
In 8 months time, Yanez will be stronger with the work that the USOC strenght guys are doing with the US boxers. The coaches will come up with a good plan to box him. It will be tough in Beijing with China hoping for a gold medal or two and Shiming is there best chance for gold. But with neutral judges, anything is possible.
