-Cinturon De Oro (2/16/06):

This is the first Cinturon De Oro show for 2006, and honestly, I haven't seen one since. Hey, they keep throwing cards on at the same time, and this year, there hasn't been an episode to show up on OnDemand yet. I hope they come eventually.

Anyhow, this program, which aires on Canal 52MX at 10PM EST, shows a lot of young fighters at very early stages in their careers, fighting in 4 and 6 round bouts. There are occasional interesting names (currently undefeated Juan Carlos Salgrado, Jose Antonio Aguirre) and a lot of folks you and I have never heard of. A quick rundown of the action from this show, which are all featherweight bouts at 4 round lengths:

-Jesus Padilla/Dante Jardon: Jardon is one of the best looking fighters on this episode, and the only to win by KO. Unfortunately, he was apparently knocked out in his second appearance on CDO on 4/20, so too bad for that. In this case, he knocks out Jesus Padilla in about 2:40 of the first round with an uppercut, having knocked him down the first time in the round at 1:50 of the first round with a left hook to the body and a overhand right. This fight, BTW, does not appear on Boxrec.com.
