Boxing's revival continues into 2008...

Post by Shirow »

Juan Diaz v Katsidis
Set for 26 Jan in Houston. Can you imagine the action & intensity in this one? Nice but same night as Pavlik v Taylor & Povetkin v Chambers.
(Why can't we have good boxing week after week instead of piled up like this?)

Pacquiao v Marquez II
Set for 15 March. I thought that Bob Arum might have got tired of having to profit share with Oscar but i'm very pleased that this is happening before Pac goes up in weight.

:box:

Also there's Klitschko v Ibragimov, Peter v Maskaev, Vazquez v Marquez 3, Williams Cintron, De La Hoya v Hatton or Cotto to look forward to.

Thought Pavlik v Taylor was 16h Feb? I hope this is true 'cos it won't be near Valentines day and I might go.

Not sure if it's a boxing revival. I think boxing's been pretty strong since around late 2004. The first half of this year dipped in quality a fair bit, but we picked up the last few months.
