Is Dec 8th a night to make a boxing fortune????

Post by Chris W 1982 »

Checking the odds of some of the so called underdogs on Dec 8th has prompted me to share my information. A £10 treble on Earl, Eastman and Hatton could return around the £400 mark. That is a superb return for 3 guys who have a decent chance of winning.

Chambers posted the Earl odds on here recently for round stoppages, and they're very very tempting.

I think Earl is as long as 5/1 with some bookies. After putting Willie Limond at 9/1, you think they'd learn.

Im convinced Earl will win this fight. I think Khan has got to stop him early, i feel he's very vulnerable once the 1st 3rd of the fight is out the way.

I've never placed a bet online before, so where are some good sites to go?

Just use the usual Hight Street bookmaker sites. Ladbrokes, William Hill, BetFred.

PaddyPower can be quite good too.

Canvas them all to get the best deal. Think Coral give you a free £10 bet at start up.

What returns can i get? Need money fast.

Been too scared to bet since Michael frickin Sprott chinned Audley.

I wanted to bet on Hatton beating Mayweather, but I don't really like the odds. I mean, a £40 bet on him to win would give me £20 profit? I was hoping the bookies would regard him with less value than that. :(

I'm not going to bet on Earl to win as I just can't see it happening. I hope I'm not proven wrong.

Never seen Eastman fight so I'm not betting on that one.

Try and use a U.S. one, sometimes they can be bias towards a U.S. fighter, so increase their odds.

Their odds are expressed different to here though.

How do you make sense of them? Ricky Hatton is 190+ on one of the sites (betus.com).

And I wouldn't direct a newbie to the 'Classic Eastman battles' section of the video store, would you?

Just done some reading, and I gather that 190+ would mean that I would get £190 for every £100 bet? So if I bet £10 I would get £19, plus my £10 returned, if Hatton won?

yes, that's what it means. The best odds around on Hatton that I can see are 2 to 1 (+200) with Pinnaclesports who are a very reliable on line book.

With the U.S. the odds tend to shorten nearer the fight. Especially at the Vegas Casino's.

Is anyone doing odds on Eastman other than Paddypower?

I'm surprised Skybet have passed. Eastman too unpredictable to bet on?

My moneys gone on Earl, because 11/2 is far too good odds to turn down IMO. I like Amir and think hes an excellent boxer, but Earl could well be his Carl Thomspon, I'd have probably had a bet at as little as 5/2. Earls got a hard nut, very good stamina, a long camp and a massive heart.

BIG respect to Amir (and FW :-? ) for taking this fight in his 15th bout, it shows that he wants to get on with his career. I think he'll do well, but...... 11/2!!

Courtesy of Stan James.
