Martinez was 2 pounds over at the weighh in, McCullough 2 pounds under. As it stands McCullough's walked out and the fights off.

It all depends how he struggled to get that far, he is a young lad and might still be growing and may have lived the high life since his championship win
2lbs is a lot to take off at super bantam esp if he has already dried out

If Kiko makes 122, load up on McCullough at 6/1. Because if he cant drop the rocket, Wayne is going to come on down the stretch.

Why could Martinez not have skipped it off? It was only a couple of pounds?

All smells a bit to me, ticket sales were said to be practically non existent, maybe Martinez was told to have a big dinner last night because he wouldn't be fighting Saturday.

Have to feel for Wayne though, he did his part.

They could, title fights even happen in this situation(Jason Cook v Stefano Zoff, Castillo v Coralles)
However Wayne either doesn't want to give this weight advantage away or the Spaniard is unwilling to forfeit some of his purse to the Irishman which is the norm in this situation

Pat Magee just told me it was off. McCullough turned down an additional £5k to give the 2 pound weight away and he wouldn't.

I don't believe him though. The day he offered £5k to anyone would be as monumental a happening as the Good Friday agreement in Belfast.

I wonder if Fat Magee will remember his comments when his namesake Brian tried to claim his full purse when the Calzaghe fight fell through?

he told the public to boycott the show that still took place that night so I wonder whether they will this time too?

Surely that's against the rules and he would have been DQed.

Looks like the loyal fans have been shafted again. wish i had gone to the weigh in now for some entertainment. Seems like McCullough had a set-to with a journalist. I am sure if Wayne had fancied his chances he would have taken the extra 5 grand off Magee (if that is indeed true). Bet Cheryl was raging

Absolutely gutted!
Two big fights in two days down the pan!
Do we get reimbursed for our tickets if its just the Martinez fight off? or is the whole show off?
