Think maybe EPNG - that you could include the week or so before. Cause if I did the list NOW - I would include Napa... obviously when I did the list Napa hadn't beaten Power in impressive fashion.

That's why I made sure everyone was aware that it closed at 23.59 on 30th November but no-one changed, or added, their picks.

Stu are you moaning? well stop it. The man just said you can vote again at the end of December, what more do you want. You can include Napa then...but out of interest where would you place him now on the list?
I have yet to watch it but I've taped it and it will be going on very shortly, I'm looking forward to it as well even tho' I checked out the result last night. Gotta he happy for Napa haven't you, he doesn't walk away from things when it's not going well.
Well done Emerson, although I have one or two issues with that list. Still you can only use the info you have been given. I'm glad to see Hunter made the list after his huge achievements in recent times.....from some of the earlier entries there looked a chance he may be omitted which would have rendered the entire exercise a complete joke.

It's funny cause the fight was on in work, I didn't get the chance to watch it, just a few fleeting glimpses, it looked from that, that Power was busier and more aggressive and I half expected to see that Martin had won when I got home.
Instead Napa had won by a landslide!

Actually the fight occured in November, and nobody changed their post prior to the deadline. What I'll do for future months is include a fighter that fought on the deadline day to ensure he's considered.

He'd be in the top 20 for sure... Low top twenty, but top twenty now.

Giving me two hours to alter the list - isn't really alot of time.... Although loads of respect for you doing this job.

From what I read though, is that I couldn't add/alter Napa's position for the next rankings because he hasn't fought in December. I'm not sure how this would work though (not a moan but a question). For example, my current 20 in Duddy - now say he loses next week controvesially, and I want to omit him but not with Eastman... Who can I replace him with? Say its Thaxton - but I cannot include him because he hasn't fought in December!

I am reading this statement correct?

As mentioned above, Napa will be allowed for consideration by everyone. Thinking about it, a fighter might not fight in a month to be considered. If he was 21st on someone's list, then someone in the top 20 retires, and then no-one of any merit fights that month, you have to move 21 up to 20. However the fighter couldn't jump above other fighters if he hasn't fought. Scenario:

Hatton retires in November.

Thaxton doesn't fight in December, or the 30th of November.

You cannot vote Thaxton for number 19, unless Dunne has fought in December. You can vote Thaxton for number 20. Therefore Thaxton cannot jump above another inactive fighter in the list. That wouldn't make sense.

Clear as mud?

Well Setanta did their job..appears Der Sturmer did less of a good job of brainwashing people!! :TU:

Good work though, I always find P4P listings too subjective myself but each to their own, wasnt meaning to critisize :TU:

Not a problem mate. I always find these lists interesting to see what the average of everyone's thoughts are but there will always be disagreements because it's the average.

I think the list is pretty good...

And as discussed Napa will be in at a later publication - quality work, I certainly don't fancy publishing such a list.

Yeah, its a good system - glad your doing it.

Just my comments.

Khan at 12 seems a bit lofty - ahead of 2 undeafted EBU champions who lost a world title bout, and one who beat the current EBU champion who also only lost at World title level. I wouldn't have him in the top 20 yet.

I still think it is too early for McIntyre to be there (I'd have Napa above him for example). I wouldn't have Jennings there either - looked good vs Tak, but not so good vs Mutley.

Generally though, I agree with most of the rankings.

Great job with list mate, just one question. How come McIntyre's on it at all? I think only one person voted him into their top 20.

How I did the ranking was based upon the number of votes for each boxer, plus the ranking given.

McIntyre was given quite a high ranking, but there were other fighters with more votes for the position so he fell down the list a bit, but still got a position on here.

I expect the rankings to iron out a bit more after 3 months.

Is this all to do with that Setanta "find a fan" thing in Boxing News or something?
