Sky - guidance needed

Post by Tykemania »

Quick quiz questions - I'm thinking of installing Sky for the Hatton fight (had planned to watch it at my local club like most other boxing but lo! they forgot to get their licence extended) - does anyone know:
1. Whether it is possible to "order" PPV events as a new subscriber?
2. Whether a replacement for the Moore fight has been announced?
3. Who if anyone is screening the Duddy, Williams and Elcock fights?

Cheers

1 - I assume so.
2 - Woolcombe v Porter (I think thats his name, I'd never heard of him anyway)
3 - To my knowledge the Duddy fight is on RTE in Ireland? I'd heard whisper Sultana were considering bidding for this bill. I hope so, I have Sultana. Dropped Sky Sports last week. Why?

Take a look at their big newspaper advertisements, showing all the stars they intend to showcase this winter.

Not one boxer in sight.

End of the road for top line stuff on Sky I suspect, they'll be back, but until they are....

Why would you think that Sky would prohibit new customers from ordering PPV's?

why I would think that? dunno now you come to mention it - seem to recall hearing something about their not being too keen on the credit issues straight away.

Didn't I read somewhere that Eastman-Duddy was being shown on BBC 2 Northern Ireland or something? If so, can we get it through Sky Digital? You can get a lot of the regional channels...

For the PPV your box needs to be plugged into the phone line so dont unplug it or lose the connector as I did before a big fight 1 time

Just checked the BBC 2 Northern Ireland site, and its not the listings, dam, got excited there. Hope we get this somehow and Abraham vs. Elcock!
