Oh give over making me out to be a panto baddy. Smith got my goat up because he's not shy at stating his views on other threads yet seemingly placed a personal gag on himself with regards to his own development.

It's indicative of how british boxing forums have developed that we are advocating that a press officer should only be the one to inform us ahead of the individual boxer himself.

Political correctness gone mad. I'm off to buy a teddy bear.

True. Despite me being a little over zelous at least it provoked a response from Paul which is good, no?

There wasn't a personal gag, he simply wasn't online. Believe it or not, I occasionally go a day or two without posting, as do most others!

No. Fun. You don't come here to enjoy yourself, now eat your gruel and get back to work you jumped up little oik.

The only fun I ever had was tying El Potato in knots and saying in best Eric Morecombe voice, "Get out of that!".

It depends. One text too a surreptitiously stored mobile phone and Paul might have pulled a United 93, "Stop the plane, I must post on Boxrec!", on his way back home. Where would the promotion be then Ben?
Que terry?

You're right it was a Thursday. I remember because Spud was off to Monaco to watch the future Heavyweight champion with the fastest hands since Patterson, the best jab since Holmes and the most power since Liston.

Not Quebec, Florida I think.
Well it would be nice to hear Paul's take on Florida then, of course if he wishes or is allowed to say anything about it.

30 years? Take a bow grandpa. And where have I insulted Smith? I too think he’s a capable boxer which is why I’m interested to hear about HIS career as he has graced us with his presence on THIS forum.

Why is this concept lost on you?

Good to see Smiggles in action - or at least it will be.

The only criticism I've had is that I'd like his career to get a move on because I really think he can go places. Lots and lots of talent.

El Potato is back from the famine.

Hello Spudly. I await the "Brendan Ingle is the best trainer thread" and "You should see Audley in rehab, he's sent to slings home already"

I have to say Mr Payne - my well recorded criticisms of Audley are going to bite me in the arse big time!!! - I remember when Mr Farnell caught up with me going back to seconds out days - fortunately we are now pals.

Problem is - if there is a fighter out there other than Mr Calzaghe of course who I have criticised more than most it is Audley Harrison - when I was told by Dennis he had signed him - I thought how the f*ck am I going to get out of this one.

Another fighter who caught up with me much to the amusement of "Real Deal" who witnessed the whole thing was Enzo Maccaroni whoops I promised him I wouldn't call him that again - Real Deal has a photo of us both having a chuckle and Enzo getting me in a clinch for my comments!!!

My my after 8 years of being on these forums I have come to realise you have to be careful what you write.
