ANY NOISE FROM THE HOWARD EASTMAN CAMP?

Post by overhand_right »

Is he in Ireland already? Is he actually training?

Skybet now have him up as 9/4. Paddy Power have him 3/1. Dunno which is best cos dont follow betting or get the odds thing. Used to but have forgot.

I'm trying to work out what to put on Old Unpredictable but would like to know if he's truly coming to play, or if hes coming for the obligatory half arsed effort, contrived controversy then back to laying on the beach in Guyana and laughing at all us mugs.

Oh yeah and another thing-- if i bet 20 on Howard and it says returns= 70, does that mean:

70 + my original 20 back, or

the 70 is inclusive of my original 20?

He's been back from Guyana more than two weeks. This is a more important fight than Elcock and Eastman will naturaly be in better shape having fought recently and comeback earlier.

I've got a feeling he's going to give Duddy the fright of his life.

Of course, he could just pose, lose 7-3 and claim robbery and move on to the next prospect...Paul Smith for example.

Take Paddy Powers 3/1. Its a lot better than 9/4 and probably the best you'll find anywhere as PP tends to get all patriotic and offers long odds on the Irish losing.

Howard is well up for it by most accounts, a real live underdog.

Not hugely. Depends how he looks. After over a year of looking poor I'm not going to go mad if he looks average.

He is a cash-in world title bout, nothing more.
Least we know where you stand Terry! Im just waiting for the revisionism from all the Eastman fans who think Duddy is a bum..if Duddy wins I hope he at least goes up in peoples estimations

9/4 = 2.25/1 so 3/1 with PP is obviously better. As for your second question - if you put £20 on at 9/4 you could expect to receive £45 profit, plus your £20 back = £65 in total. If you put £20 on at 3/1 you could expect to receive £60 profit, plus your £20 back = £80 in total.

Terry D wrote:Usual thing. They say it is going ace. Eastman loses, I think he'll win, and they cut to a bemused looking Rob who says, "They said he was training well but it turns out that he he was on the beach doing his sparring, 4 x 1, with the Lilt Man."
