colin dunne v jon honney . Dunne lost in 2 rounds, he couldn't hold any shot from Honney . Even Honney didn't really celebrate his win. Just said sorry to Colin.

I think you mean Kevin Bennett.

Honney beat a similarly shot Michael Ayers.

Tyson V Mcbride was sort of a Shock. But That was different Circumstances.

Its not that much of a shock since the only result Tyson wanted was the Pay Cheque.

Leon Spinks? If you ask me, his Career was over when Mike Tyson Took him out in the First Round. He was never the same.

Prince Naseem was Good, but the Barrera loss was it for him.

I still personally think he had a lot more in him to go further

Leon Spinks? If you ask me, his Career was over when Mike Tyson Took him out in the First Round. He was never the same.

Michael Spinks was actually regarded by a lot journalists, including Sugar, as the best fighter in the world when Tyson fought him.

yeah your quite right there. I got those 2 mixed up. The one i hated watching was Honeyghan v Breland , lloyd was one of my favourites growing up. And watching him fall apart that night was hard to watch.

Yes, I went to the Honeyghan - Breland contest. Lloyd looked like he was puncking through treacle to me.

John Mugubi when he was koed in 1 by Gerald Mckellen was totally shot. Lloyd Honeyghan when he fought Breland, Pazienza and dodson... seeing him lose to Dodson the way he did was especially sad....

Neville Brown looked pretty bad vs Sam Solimon.

Watching the once untouchable Ray Leonard get bounced around by Terry Norris and Hector Camacho was hard to take.

He was so far removed from his mercurial past it looked like an imposter in there..

honeyghan-breland - honeyghan looked older than time itself.

ali-holmes - just sad tbh.

leonard-norris - norris was good but not that fornicating good.

duran-leonard 3 - duran didn't even try.

brodie-chi 2 - first fight had knocked the stuffing out of him.

tom johnson-charles shepherd - johnson would have toyed with shepherd in his prime.

Watching Roberto Duran limp out of a fight looking old, feable and fat against the under whelming Pat Lawlor on a Tyson undercard was one of the saddest sights I can remember seeing in boxing.

He retired claiming an injured arm but in reality he was getting his ass kicked by a limited club fighter who wouldnt have even dreamed of sparring Duran in his prime.

The fact that he fought on for a further 10 years and approx 25 fights just compounds what was a dreadful night for fans of the Panamanian all time great.

We might see one fight on Saturday in the UK - I will leave it there. I firmly believe a certain boxer should not be boxing on Saturday - with the greatest respect for his courage and sheer determination - I think there might not be a lot left in the tank.

To be fair to Duran he did put on some decent performances after the Lawlor fight, against Jorge Castro, Pazienza, and Comatcho and he actually beat Lawlor in a rematch some years later... a far worse night was when Duran was fed to William Joppy at 47 and weight drained at 160 he was pounded around the ring for three rounds before being stopped on his feet... anyone who thinks Duran was ever afraid of pain should watch this 'fight'....

It would be very interesting to see if all these soothsayers saying Khan's gonna get sparked are wagering much on Earl at 11-2......the way they're going on you'd think they'd be backing him with every last penny.
I think a few of them know the score to be honest so they won't be putting ny money where their mouth is.

Carl Thompson was shot to pieces for at least 2 years before he actually retired.......but he still kept managing to win which is the most incredible thing!

His KO of Rothmann was awesome, and was a perfect example of what a vulnerable and yet dangerous fighter he was.

Honeyghan-Breland. One of the few fights I had to turn off. Lloyd would have taken him in his prime, no problem.

Another one that really hurt was when Christie lost to Boston. I remember me and my mates at school the next day, all totally gutted.
